The curtain raiser at this week's match against Sydney. From media release: "The celebrity side will feature the likes of blue ‘Wiggle’ Anthony Field and Captain Feathersword as well as All Saints stars John Waters and John Howard and Rugby League legends Geoff Toovey and Cliff Lyons joining Sydney FC stakeholder and CSI star La Paglia. The supporters team will be coached by the Central Coast Mariners Development Manager and Socceroos Assistant Coach Alex Tobin, with his squad eager to be playing football on the Mariners home turf in front of the expected bumper crowd at Bluetongue Stadium. The supporters won their chance through a Cumberland Newspaper competition in which they had to describe in 25 words or less why they should be playing for the supporters team. Mariners Deputy Chairman Peter Turnbull will be one who will be putting on the boots for the supporters team, before watching the Mariners take on Sydney FC. " ------------------- Was anyone else aware of this?! Bugger, how did this slip under the radar? Chant: "You've got the wrong John Howard!"

Sash already mentioned but Hutch to not good taken from A-League site today.
But the bookings of Petrovski and John Hutchinson mean four yellows for each for the Mariners duo, ruling them out of next week's clash with Sydney FC.
Anyone know if Tommy and Grumpy are due back this week.

Guys guys, ease up on Whoninho alright.......... $250 000 per assist is so worth it and you know it. And as for all those goals he's got, and those full 90 minutes he's played - wow. I know I'd want that kind of player on my team. A truly prudent investment.

Saw the Galaxy boys at Darling Harbour today (including Beckham). hopefully they will fire right up and give Bling a few injuries for Saturday.
Interestingly, DB was walking along with the rest of the squad, he was making time for every little kid that wanted a pic/autograph. Great ambassador for the game.
