I also play indoor on twice a week. In goal on Tuesdays and on the field on Thursdays. Im a walking injury ;D

... as a striker and scored ... in my first game, then nothing for the rest of the season... Hey, I did that too! Kincumber - 1st Div. (=PL2 now), Reserve grade '84 & '85 (in my mid 20's ...gulp!). Kincumber's inaugural senior tilt. First game, before they realised that despite good pre-season training form I wasn't REALLY a striker (and I didn't let on), scored a cracker first touch from just outside the box for 2-1, our only goal (in what went on to be a nasty loss). Never ever scored again, either for the Roos or Narara in the churches - late 80's-early 90's. |

I'm going to play with Wyoming, for the simple reason I want to play to have fun, and for the social, since all my mates play for Wyoming, pissing up with them at the Grange makes perfect sense .. sorry Mick |

I have played for Umina my whole life. I played from under sixes to 18's. I dropped out for a few years and went back to play grade for several years. I never played 1sts but i made the bench for them once which is my only claim to being a apart of the main game.
Bearinator - The best goal i have scored was against gosford with a 22 yard thunderbolt at gavenlock oval. I am not sure if you were the guy between the sticks that day!
I am sure that no one in this forum can better my demise from the playing arena though.
In a trial match i ruptured a cruciate ligiment in my right knee - out for the season with a knee reconstruction.
Go back to play the year after, get through one trial game and in the second i ruptured a cruciate ligiment in my left knee. That's right, two knee reconstructions in three games - one on each leg. (The actual playing time was probably closer to two games!).
I am contemplating going back again this year to play over 35's. What do you guys think??

My medial is fine now it is just the cruciate plays up occasionally when I bend down with my knees. Yeah surely it couldnt happen 3 times could it?? If you still have the determination despite what has happened injury wise in the past then go for it! |
