Mick - I will say they had 3 players yellow carded last week, that's all you get. omni, you must live in some f#%ked up world where a ref cannot talk about the game he refereed you own, isolated referee bubble i talk to refs all the time on the coast about other teams and games they have officiated - all of them never have a problem and nor should they Discussing it in a private conversation is different to writing it in a post which is likely to be witnessed by the team that he's helping Ourimbah to beat. Some people may take offence to that - people will take offence to the strangest things when it comes to referees. As such, referees do need to keep in mind that what they might think is ok, other people might find inappropriate (probably solely because it's a referee saying it!). Different people will judge it differently, so some have no problem discussing a team's performance, others don't like to. Some that may discuss it in person, wouldn't discuss it on a public forum. Some people feel that passing on that sort of information is a little inappropriate. Doesn't mean he's wrong, doesn't mean you're wrong. Different people look at it differently, that's all. I support Omni's decision not to discuss it on a public forum. Besides, does it seem like Ourimbah REALLY need the help? ;-) Not trying to argue with you or anything. We went 5-0 up today against Kanwal in AA5. Not our best match though. Didn't get to see their earlier spurt of confidence, if it occurred - I missed the first 25min due to work (and forgetting where the bloody field was!)

The Mighty Ourimbah AA5's continued their winning way with a tough 3 -1 defeat of Avoca in our first game at home. yeah, tough game they had a couple of quick asian guys who caused a bit of havoc on our old legs fortunately the rest of the team was not as good and these players were often isolated in saying this we were denied a penalty when one of their caught the ball in the box, hit the post twice, misssed an open goal in front and three one-ones, so 3-1 couldn't have been more

thanks for that post marinermick.
We should have an interesting match against Kincumber too...
This weekend looks like a total top 4 shootout!!!
Although even if Ourimbah lose, they'll stay first on goals.

Gosford 18A's went down to kincumber (they dont deserve capitals) in controversial circumstances.. and whilst it is hard to avoid looking like a whinger, the ref was disgraceful with several late tackles from them not pulled up. Mind you we had the chances to win, just didnt take them and paid the price. just curious as this has happened a few times now, why did 18 A GRADE get the shitter field at the entrance (theyre both lovely fields) and the other week we got Pluim 2 i think, when 17 B GRADE got pluim 1? ?

marinermick - nah, I had to work that game at the mountains. I would have loved to have been there!! I usually play right back (I always seem to wind up in the backs.... ) 3 penalties against you in one match? Harsh stuff!! We had a lack of keeper against you and Toukley, but I think we've scored an 18 year old now. We had a big Serbian at the start of the season, don't know what happened to him. Berkely have a game in hand? Didn't notice that. Then I guess this weekend really does sort out the top 4.....Although it's still early in the season, so any win or loss can change a lot of places...Still, always good to see 1v2 and 3v4, it's like the semi finals ;-) Man, Kanwal are getting slammed in goal difference, could be a long season for them.

Gibbsy: Yep, spot on you do sound like a whinger. As for the field scenario at The Entrance, Field 1 is a shocker in the goal mouth (or at least was on Sunday) so Field 2 became the main field rather than the usual Field 1, of course having said that I don't really know which one of the two you played on on Friday.

haha yeh as i said, hard to avoid not sounding like a whinger...but thanks for the confirmation.
we played on ent2, which is the far field and its heaps narrower than the other field, which is why i cant believe 18a's got put there...
as for my double post, i realised that i posted it in round 2 results not round 4, and hence posted it here

Like I say Field 1 was really patchy infront of goal so the decision was made to play Sunday's games on Field 2, no doubt the pitch was the same on Friday so Field 2 became Field 1.

we got up again the team actually looked comitted and showed up today we won 2 nil as i again got denyed 2wice by the posts and a few bullshit saves from the keeper. P.S whats the rule if someone does a deliberate handball but the ball still goes in do they still get sent off our ref just awarded the goal and told the player"lucky it went in or u were gone"they gotta be sent anywayz dont they p.ss OMNI do u know if u'll ever ref one of our games when/where?
