The Ourimbah AA5 juggernaut rolls on to our first home game of the season.
An early 9:15am game v Avoca.
Omni, you reffed Avoca last week - any tips or advice?

weve scored 15 in 3 so things are going swimmingly if we play like we have been we will be ok.

Theyve got 2 or 3 good players in the middle of the park shut em down early doors and you should be ok.Very tough side that hit with a lot of sting be prepared for a physical game

I'm anticipating an Ourimbah win against Avoca. I'm up at Kanwal on Sunday, could be an interesting match. I think Kanwal will be hunting their first win of the season. They seem to be a team that runs on confidence. We hit them early in the second half and they fell apart. As Fish said pretty good in midfield and they gave us some pressure when they had three up front. For some reason they went to one up front later in the game and never threatened after this. |

the might of the university of sydney was unexpectedly humbled early sunday morning by a ragtag mob of exchange students from kenso tech in the 'uni derby' (except we all know that UNSW isn't a real uni)...
down 1-0 after a howler at centre back from yours truly.
level 1-1 with a gem at the near post.
down 2-1 with a howler from our keeper.
level 2-2 with a blistering volley.
down 3-3 with another even worse howler from our keeper, and that's how it stayed.
and the team we played were all little whinging prick exchange students who went in studs up 9 tackles out of ten and when you gave them a bit of muscle in return they sent tear-stained letters home to their mothers (though i did get off lucky missing a yellow for chopping a guy off at the knees when he breezed past me down the sideline - i had a terrible day, and that was the bright point).

We're at home again this week, which is good, cause the new kariong club house is pretty nice. Kick of is at 12, which means its going to be really hot.
We're playing Avoca this week. Hopefully we can mark up our first win...........wish us luck.

I'm happy to talk about the game, I thought both teams played well it was a tight game very much a midfield battle, they're not a bad side Avoca, I don't know much about your team though so can't say much tbh.

My official 30-year return to league action happens this Saturday after having to miss the first game of the season, then having a bye, THEN getting rained out last week...it's been seven weeks since the only trial game we had when I got 40 minutes or so. I'm popping out of my skin I tell ya! Mind you, with a bit of training in between to alleviate things, at least i can last 80 minutes by now (that's a hint Scott if you're reading this).
Look out Gosford....
