Saw in Sydney's Terrorgraph today that there's word that GVE will put Jardel onto the field (for better or for worse) next game to show the fans how badly Con stuffed up signing the guy. Wouldn't give it much credence, but if that is what the situation is like, maybe GVE would be better looking elsewhere for next season.
Yep, looking likely, according to the A-League site,

however GVE's sentiments seem to have changed a little since tuesday:
Jets set to unveil 'Super' Mario

Jets marquee player and star striker Mario Jardel is set to make his debut in Newcastle's home clash with Adelaide on Saturday night.
The former Brazil international has overcome fitness concerns and the club has finalised his playing visa, meaning the two-time European Golden Boot winner is free to line up for the Jets this weekend.
"I'm happy to start playing this Saturday, and I'd like to thank the club for their work with getting my papers cleared this month," Jardel said on Thursday through an interpreter.
The 33-year-old striker, nicknamed 'Super' Mario, has a superb goal-scoring record from his time at Brazil and Portugal.
Deadly in the air, with a scar on his forehead that he's described as his 'sweet spot', Jardel is hoping to come to terms with the Hyundai A-League's physical style and notch up plenty of goals for the Jets.
"Football in Australia is a bit tougher than in Brazil," he said.
"The football in Australia growing each day. The level of the teams here is very similar."
"I've been out of the game for three months. It's going to be tough in my first few games but after that I'm hoping to do well."
Jardel is not expected to play a full 90 minutes against Adelaide, but coach Gary Van Egmond is still considering whether to play Jardel off the bench in his Hyundai A-League debut or to name the striker in the starting line-up.
"His pedigree is magnificent," Van Egmond said.
"His pedigree is second to none as far as goal-scoring is concerned."
"Mario's probably at his maximum physical fitness, what he needs is games."
"Mario's feeling confident. It might be best for him in the long run to start."
The Jets may adjust their free-flowing attacking style of play to accommodate the expert finisher.
"Mario hasn't got a tremendously high work rate off the ball, he relies on others giving him service in the box where he does the most damage."
"We may be able to press early on but we may play more of a counter-attacking style with Mario."
"He definitely needs games and hopefully we can give him that starting this weekend."
