Their latest reason for leaving Jardel out is "visa issues".

www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,22357894-5000940,00.html From an expected dangerous starting squad member to dropped from the bench. Depth is thinning. The depth problems show glareingly on the weekend when young Hoffman was thrown in at the deep end as a sub after being added to the squad only a week before after only half a season experience in state league 1st grd. Don't get me wrong, the kid has promise, (& a good kid too) but he needs a couple of years yet. He wouldn't have been rated as a top half dozen striker while playing in the northern state league this season, but nobody expected him to be in his first season in 1st grade. To be honest I was cranky they would do that to the kid.

Tell GVE to do it. we don't mind you guys getting fined and a points deduction really we don't. ;D Now if we can find a irregularity in juninho's registration even better.

Give the kid a break & dont throw him to the wolves before his time. Alterative strikers must be shite if the better option is to bury a kid. I see your still persisting with Tarek. Helps to a family mate of Con's eh? (do some research on the last comment)

They've also announced the signing of Stephen Laybutt. He'll replace Craig Deans in the squad, after he was forced to retire due to injury.
With some decent advertisement, Scum could manage to rack up a big crowd on Saturday night IMO

Saw in Sydney's Terrorgraph today that there's word that GVE will put Jardel onto the field (for better or for worse) next game to show the fans how badly Con stuffed up signing the guy. Wouldn't give it much credence, but if that is what the situation is like, maybe GVE would be better looking elsewhere for next season.

Why do you think they have gone through coaches like socks since he bought the licence. Con likes to interfere & coaches get the shits.

Might be a job going in Perth pretty soon IMHO.

Might be a job going in Perth pretty soon IMHO. i dunno about that - perth may not have scored, but they're undefeated as well. they weren't too bad to watch against either newcastle or sydney with the better of the chances in both matches and looked very capable of putting their opposition on their heels. ruskavytsya and dragicevic are both pretty good, bertos is handy, sekulovski's doing pretty well and their backline generally is organised and pretty composed, to the point that they're making tommy tomich (who i consider to be as reliable as a condom made from marshmallows) look positive and self-assured.

I take your point, I reckon Ron Smith produces good technical football sides and Perth impressed me pre season.
However..................football clubs often defy logic and with new owners, investment in the team, falling crowds, adverse meedja comment (Cockerill) etc etc. Who would bet against him being replaced??

He will have some time. The injuries there are huge in the backline, and they have not conceded. I expect perth will bounce nad come 4th/5th this season, to become a force next season with less injuries.

Left Harnwell on the bench for far toooo long on the weekend, probably only put him on because the GBoy's were giving it to him (Smith). The bloke was their highest GS last season, is normally played as a defender, and then is told he's got permission to find another club with a year left on his contract.
