Maybe we are asking/expecting too much of Timmy. I presume he is doing the best he knows & can in the circumstances, given that he is a teenager (still?) trying to control other teenagers. I'm young enough to remember (only just) the peer pressure to toe the line & be one of the lads. The shit you can cop from young guys if you attempt to be different & do the right thing. Soft ****, club lacky, part of the prawn sandwich brigade, dobber & dog are a a few names I've seen him called when he tries to do what he thinks right for the squadron. I think he was thrown into the job after the first two older leaders quit ? Might be time for you to get some help from a few more experienced guys Timmy. When you get older (most) you don't give a damn what people think. The two other leaders move on to work for the club. One is still there and one isnt. The person u are reffering to about the prawn sandwhich bridage dobber& dog are sadly dircted to past leader of the Squadron who did a great job. I have only been elected as President for about 3 weeks if that. BUT, I have been around since day one and have alot of respect form the lads. The thing is that the lads casusing the trouble arent on our forum and are mostly fairweather fans. We have a group of Leaders in the Squadron but thing is that people wont listen to us. I dont believe that my unexperience comes into it. Its about working with the lads in our group and letting them know whats happening. etc Tim I hear what you are saying and comments from this forum I can see you have respect. Also you appear in your psots a little unsure of what to do. Tim thats good in a kinda special way. It shows you want to fix the issues but unsure how. May I suggest you discuss this in private with some people you can trust and ask for help at matches. Talk to leaders of various supportor groups, also talk to police official who will be in charge on match nights as well as security, and your club. Mate get all the help you can, from leaders in other clubs and seek help from officials on the night. Believe me people will come from everwhere to help if you just ask. Part of a leader's job is determine the degree of the problem and then work out, how / who / were / when it can be solved. A leaders job is not to solve the problem / issues by themselves but in ensuring that management is in place to identify the size of and how to control the problems. In closing you seem a real decent bloke and I think everyone will help you. I suggest you ask the right people and get good advice from experienced people and the amount of help you need at home matches. Good luck Tim and as an aside Football needs you to get this done right because there is an anti football press out there waiting to jump.

Well said.
Interestingly, security seemed to do nothing at all as the cans etc rained down. EAS must use the same brainless tools as Bluetongue. Often, we have to call them over to do their farkin jobs.
If the club were serious about clamping down on these pricks they would simply have someone opposite the bay with either a camera or binoculars. A simple 2 way radio to security would be able to direct them to their target.
Dont forget, these aren't hardcore lunatics who will have a go at security, just pissed up teens who's older mates supply them with grog etc. A highly visible security presence in the bay will fix it I suspect.
At the EAS semi in V1, a half full coke bottle was lobbed at a Jest player taking a corner in the 1st half. Immediately, 2 or 3 people grabbed the tool and let him no EXACTLY what was going to happen to him if he didnt pull his head in. He calmed down and (to my knowledge) has behaved himself since. I see him at most games and whilst passionate etc, doesnt cross the line anymore.
Timmy, time to dig your heels in mate. Let them know in no uncertain terms that unless self policing becomes the norm that you will step down and join older, more sensible groups of Jest fans in some other part of the ground (yes, they do exist). They will then have to find someone else to work with the club etc. A shame for you, but you cant beat dickheads on your own mate. Dont get tarred with the same brush as them for your own sake.
Actually, moving the squadron to the hill makes sense. Sober, these things are less likely to happen.

thanks lads. Have been in talks with some family relos from holland that are highly involved with the Feyenoord group SCF. Gave me a few ideas.
Im sure after Friday, the peckerheads within our group will realise whats going on and either move on or wake up to themselves. im sure we wont have problems like this in the future. Alot within our group have also spoken to me about them stepping up and helping out. so its really good to see. Think this event may help us move forward.

The jest's head jester has withdrawn new contract offers from Bridge & intends doing the same to Musalik. He has the poops because according to him they are procrastinating in signing after he bagged them in the paper about lack of loyalty & how generous his offer of 130K was/is. Likely trying to get them to sign cheaply before other clubs move in on them.
Not a smart practice using the media to insinuate disloyalty & greed of two of your most valuable players your trying to keep. They will get the shits & tell him to stick it up his nose. The head jester does business like no other. Maybe he thinks he is still in Cypruss.
Anyone aware how 130K stackes up to the salary of others of a similar standing?

We have a number of players off contrcat at the end of the year. We could swap some eg Clark for Musalik, (sorry clarkie but its a professional game) Nik for Bridge. Up front for Scum in 2008/09 HAL, Macdonalds & Score Knees Remember they took Noel S. PS Lawie Midfielder will play at 130K.

clark will not be going anywhere he is our conditioning coach and sports scientist it's probably inevitable that he will wind up in a non-playing role at some point, but i think on the weekend when really he was our only quick player in defence he was invaluable, and he was actually playing forward a fair bit in the second half trying to create chances. he's still got a bit to offer i think.

130K would be around mrdja's current wages, if not less
without mrdja, gumprecht and vidmar (new marquee) next season it would certainly free up plenty of cash
mind you, we need to up mile and boog's wages and heff's salary goes up by 10K

PS Lawie Midfielder will play at 130K. Getting tiresome I would never 'swap' a Coastie gun like Clarky for a scummer. It's funny, Musialik and Bridge want to go to Europe but Con is trying to force them into signing new contracts to either keep them or get transfer fees. You can see both sides of that. Someone like the Mariners could be an interesting third party in this. If the players don't get good Euro offers but then don't want to stay at the Jet because of the treatment, we could pick up the pieces.

Stewie would never play for you guys. dislikes you as much as we do Also the 2 boys both had release clauses for overseas clubs in these contract offers

So you think the way to convince players to sign a new contract is to virtually call them greedy & disloyal in the local media? Not to mention the effect it could have on their performance for the remainder of this season to know Con has the shits with them & doesn't want them around & the effect it will have on other team members knowing a team mate is being treated like shit in the press by their club owner?
I don't. He has likely got them further offside & made them more unlikely to sign & shown them & every other player in the club what con's loyalty to players realy looks like, & what happens if you don't kiss his arse & do as he wishes before he is forced to have a childish sulk & spit the dummy.
Con has a habit of using the press in a negative fashion against anyone that gets in the way of what he wants & it has a habit of biting him on the arse. But like a little kid, he never learns.

* I am not hopeful that we can snare Aloisi for next season * Nik is possibly as good as gone * Bridge is a good alternative to Aloisi if he can be persuaded to stay in Australia another season. * Bridge knows Vukovic and Kwasnik well.
