Don't believe anything you read in the papers. AS you know Newcastle is a rugby League town, even tho our crowds are starting to equal or be greater then theres. When Jets first Came up knights were only team in Newcastle so we were treated as second class to them. But after the success that Football is getting in Australia and all this talk about holding the World Cup etc They can see the Jets getting them the money needed to expand the stadium and all that shit so the jets will be treated with respect until the new stadium is built and then they will go back to being second class citizens i don't it will ever change until the jets can get equal representation on the ISC Trust The new stadium has to be built yet and by then Is will hopefully be a 50/50 town which is want most novocastians want. 2 successful teams in the city.

I'm watching this answer I remember a very big banner that the jest club were going to pay for last season till they got the shits with the squadron about bad behaviour? The club supplied "free" bus to the ground? Special squadron members beer prices at Con's club? Anything more? And your squadron dog tags that the club sells for you that has to have FFA approval? Why do you do that BTW, instead of selling it through the squadron? The banner that was only talk about by the club. it was discuss with us. But why have a giant Newcastle Jersey that would have be no good after last season. i can see what ya mean about the USC deal. But its from the Sports club which isnt the Jets directly. Just from our good mate Con.

But dont the EAS hate Cons guts and want him out ?? Don't believe anything you read in the papers. Or the fact he tried to lobby the givernment against the ICS trust (without grounds btw), or the fact of the public baggings he gave the isc trust in the media. We aren't all silly Timmy & many of us have been around football before you were a twinkle in dad's eye. We don't need to to beleive papers to know what goes on in a small city like Newcastle where everyone knows what everyone else is doing.

Very true mate, It was back doing the old NSL days and Start of A-league hasn't changed that much like bills are still not being paid on time or being withheld and alienating half the business community in newcastle no surprise there is a distinct lack of sponsorship in the club there is no need to defend the club timmy for the sake of it - we know you are a good bloke, you do tonnes of work for the squadron and you do the right thing it is just sad that many like you have to put with all the crap that has gone on and still goes on in the club but as you said, things have got better but i suspect it is too late to mend many bridges in the small newcastle community

i only acting on the info i know. Have been told that some problems have been sorted but some still remain.
Im hoping these things improve, so the club can grow stronger and become a huge success like it deserves to be.
Thanks for the kind words lads.

Do you seriously think that if it was a mariners v jets game it would be any different? Yes, it would be different. It would be a lot worse! Thank you, you prove my point

The point about other colours at a game is valid though. Yesterday I saw a scum shirt, 2 Chavski, a Villa and a number of Wallaby jumpers FFS. As for fan groups being close to the club. Would he prefer no subsidised away travel, memberships or liason.............tool. He should be writing for the Express. As stupid as he is, he writes to well to work at the DDDxpress
