they won 2 zip. looks like leeds are on the comeback trail. right before they play preston on tues night aswell. bugger. i predict a draw. preston remain in 2nd spot after last nights results. would have been good if we had beat burnley, but the ref helped pne enough in that game.

David Nugent starred for second place Preston as they powered to a fine win to stun new Leeds manager Dennis Wise. Nugent crossed for Danny Dichio to head in the first and then squared for Danny Pugh to stab home the second.
Nugent tapped in a Simon Whaley cross at the start of the second half but David Healy pulled one back with a tap-in from Richard Cresswell's cross.
North End substitute Lewis Neal rounded off victory with a heavily deflected strike from 30 yards.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preston boss Paul Simpson: "It was everything we asked for after losing at Burnley. We couldn't have asked the players for more with their work-rate and attitude. "It's an emphatic win and could even have been more. It probably is the best performance of the season so far."
On striker David Nugent, he added: "He has shown what a hot property he is and we want to keep him as long as we can."
Leeds manager Dennis Wise: "I've been involved in two and watched three games and it isn't what I want really, it's not enough. "I've told the players and they know. I just think we might at some stage need to bring in some fresh faces just to give us a bit more competition.
"There needs to be more competition and I'm very disappointed. I'm not too pleased with it at the present moment."

here you go all you leeds supporters-------------
Barnsley 3-2 Leeds A stunning late strike from Brian Howard secured Barnsley's first win in seven games as they came from behind to beat Yorkshire rivals Leeds. The Tykes took the lead against the run of play when Martin Devaney lashed in from 15 yards after a defensive mix up.
But Leeds levelled through Shaun Derry, who met Robbie Blake's cross with a fierce header and then Blake turned scorer when he smased in a half-volley.
But Michael McIndoe's drive restored parity before Howard curled the winner.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie: "We hope it's the kick-start to our season but we've got two very difficult away games on the bounce now. We're not getting carried away. "It was a win we really needed and let's just hope we can do something on the back of it.
"We needed three points. It was a game we needed to win just as much as they did.
Leeds manager Dennis Wise: "I was well aware of the job when I came here and it doesn't faze me too much to be honest. We know it's a difficult job, and we know these players are lacking a lot of confidence. "Also, we know we need some fresh faces - that's something we said all along. But at the present moment trying to get them is very difficult.
"Bringing in new faces gives the place a lift and I think that is important. I think the current players have got into a rut, and I think now is the right time to bring some faces in to give competition."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
