Jeez, the Cronulla Riots what was with that?
A friend of mine got a four page long text with all this rubbish like "Calling all Aussies, come to Cronulla Beach we're gonna kill all the Lebo Bastards, bring a friend!" From someone he didnt even know, although it seems enough people got the text, according to the news there were over 5000 people there. I have also heard the same things will be happening at terrigal this saturday.
I love it how people with absolutley no life whatsoever come up with stupid, idiotic things like this.
Anyway wanted other people here to voice their thoughts

This is unbelieveable how big it turned out to be, it is worse than Redfern or Maquire Fields. At First i thought they were dissapointed their Rugby League team is so bad but it is much worse than that after i saw the news last night SHIT i am glad i live on the Central Coast.

Hope there's nothing at Terrigal .. I hope us coasties are mo0re responsible and mature than that. How embarassing those pics are going across the world and people watching CNN across the globe thinking "what about those Aussie redneck racist pricks"

all i can say is "urhgk". [edit: obviously that's not true, given my subsequent rant] honestly, it's incredible that this is going on. i think there should just be a new law put out called the Anti-Dickhead Act 2005, whereby the police can drag in any dickhead engaging in this sort of bollocks behaviour and give them a whooping. i'm no great fan either of the 'locals' or the 'hit and run gangs' that are acting up here, and wish both of them would go home, have a cup of chamomile tea and chill the f*** out (i'm not into hippy shit either, but you know...)!
oh, and talkback radio hosts? first up against the wall when the revolution comes... ;D

I'm absolutely disgusted by this, it really makes me sick what some people can do, racism is a disgusting level of hatred and it's amazing what it can produce.
As Matt said I'm glad I live on the central coast, the chances of me moving next year to Sydney are very slim.
Blackadder: I certainly hope that isn't true, living in Wamberal it's just up the road, and it's just not what the Central Coast is about (we're not a mini-Sydney)

Blackadder: I certainly hope that isn't true, living in Wamberal it's just up the road, and it's just not what the Central Coast is about (we're not a mini-Sydney) i think the point of the stuff at cronulla is that they see themselves roughly the same way as you've described the central coast - that sydney (that part of it north of george's river anyway) is the 'other' and that they should have their own patch. then when some d*ckhead visitor decides to engage in criminal behaviour they essentially act like they're putting the barricades up and adopt a siege mentality. things then go mental like they did on sunday, and now we've got disgusting revenge attacks on subsequent evenings... meanwhile the bra boys (mostly skips) and the comancheros (mostly lebanese) are getting together wondering what the hell's going on and why people can't just settle down (now there's irony!). |

just a point- in no way am i suggesting that you (omni) think like the louts from cronulla, just that the base conditions for what happened there prevail here too (he says from sydney...).
note also that apparently some of the far-right elements like the patriotic youth league etc. actually came from the coast to participate in the original riot. they'll be up for it in terrigal, the entrance, wherever.
