I like rugby -used to play it actually. However last weekend I was watching USyd v Easts on ABC and it struck me that it's a lot like watching U/16s play soccer - full backs just boot it to each other for a while until somebody runs it out of sheer boredom hey us under 16's don't just boot it up the field thats more like under 12's

the competition will be dead before the end of the season.
average crowd for the first round was about 4k. basically, nobody cares.

Now now Mick, they did hold the launch at Iggy's surely that is enough of a connection to the coast. NB: I only know this cause I happen to go to Iggy's on the night they were holding there launch, seemed like a normal night there apart from the rays banner. I would much rather watch under 5's football than rugby.

As much as I like the APC idea and the Rays...... Yea one season, two tops, the players hate the rule variations and there's no REAL fan connection, I am looking forward to this Saturday though Central Coast V Western Sydney obviously an important one for me in any sport (and can't wait for it to be in the A-League so I can bag out all my UWS mates)! Can't understand why Ashley-Cooper wasn't able to play for The Rays that's just STUPID! Mick: Melbourne are worse, they're fly in/fly out

I have purchased a season ticket and will support them. Why is it every time another code is mentioned the tripe starts.Lets be secure enough in the mariners to allow other people the option to be fans of both and not ridicule a sport which will lift the profile of another code on the Coast.

Some here do not follow Union, League or Aussie Rules no matter who is playing it! I have only a passing interest in Rugby (Cornwall) and I live in Woodies country, and due to family in AFL (Hawks and Crows) and SAFL (Sturt). Thugby League however is quite 'beyond the Pale'! That said I have no serious problem with the Rays as long as: a) They leave the ground in the state they found it (fat chance), b) they do not distract from support and media for the Mariners (yet to be seen) I understand loyalty to the Coast, too.

i understand fish saying he wants to support the coast in general as well as the mariners which is great, but like kevrenor i have no interest in the sport - for me its football although i do like team pursuit cycling, great to watch and really intense... and if im in the mood cricket so for me id only ever support the mariners, but thats me

Season Ticket? Were you in desperate need of a 'Hat & Keyring" Sim? Looked at what you get for the season ticket compared to the cost difference of just turning up on 'game-day' and the hat and crap was it! That's rewarding your loyal Thugby fan.
