Can I ask someone to be a special guest reporter for Baywatch for our away game against the Paper Aeroplanes - I'll write the preview, I just need someone to write the report, or give me some notes, I won't be at the game.

Submitted the new baywatch yesterday, hope it gets up sometime before Kick-off.
Talking with GoldenBoy yesterday and he mentioned putting real previews and reviews on the website I'd be happy to do this as well as baywatch if people seemed interested.
Saw the boys training as I drove over the bridge on my way home, looking good.

Just letting everyone know that I spent the last 2 hours writing a 1000 word piece on our trip to brisbane with pictures galore but when i submitted it had timed out and logged me out to prevent unwanted people updating the site. point is, the work was lost and i'm officially too pissed off to ever update the website again.

Aaaaarrgh! That hurts! What I do is do all my work off the site - eg. in html editor, or in Word, and drop the stuff into the site page in one paste!

I'll look into this - I have the timeout set at 9000000 seconds, or 2500 hours, 104 days... so this sort of thing shouldn't happen...

Between writing most of the website content, running marinator errands multiple times a week, 'chairing' and writing the (first) fanzine, being looked to as the man to organise the charity shield (the reason it hasnt got started) and everything else, I dont even have time to post on the forum anymore, so starting with the match on Sunday I'm going to do with the selfish thing and leave the 'extra' marinating to others. I'll be keeping a keen eye on here and when it looks like many new hands are making light work I'll throw mine into that mix.

I do think we have put that expectation on you - as you started the thread perhaps - with Mick not here for it someone has to organise it and I think it fell by default onto you, Maybe have a team organising the event. I have slim event management experience and I'd be happy to play a major role in the Charity Shield. I'll post on the CS thread.

i've already put my hand up... just need to know the framework... i have some event experience... i think anyone who volunteers to play needs to volunteer some time ahead of time to get it going.... that's fair, eh?

That was a similar idea for the original there will be a MUST attend training session a week or so before the game - obviously if you can't make that and let us know before hand that'll be fine, aslong as you absolutely can't.
Everybody should donate some time to getting the charity shield match up and running, obviously some can do more than others - there will be a fee for playing as well

Hey guys, I noticed in today's Daily Telegraph that The Cove had been given a write up in the Football Fever section.............with no mention of the Marinators what so ever. What's goin on there? This weekend we need to fill BAY 16 and show em what real supporters are about.

my best guess is that its published and written in sydney. am i right on this? but i have noticed a tendencey in bias towards sydneys coverage ever since they 1st published the mini football pullout.
