IT'S SIMPLE DON'T SWEAR! OR YOU GET LIFTED. JUST BECAUSE THEY DO IT IN EUROPE IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO DO IT. i have watched fitba all over the world (all codes) and there is swearing at times, but if you're in a large group and a majority if you are swearing there's a good chance you'll get in trouble, sorry it's the way it happens!

Just claim that restraining you from swearing is a repressing the language of your working class heritage.

Maybe we can get Auburn to try that one .... "officer...my swearing is indicative of my working class heritage". won't even work if you flutter your eyelashes at him mate....
i think avoid the language that causes trouble and not get on the soapbox over something not worth fighting (and maybe impossible to win???). You catch more bees with honey than vinegar and the Marinators are becoming too public to have the fuzz dragging one away during a game...

Words of wisdom there MsCanada.... but you must agree that there is some degree of 'unfair targeting' going on, yes/no? (not that there's much we can do about it, like you said, we're getting somewhat public)

like you girls said, the best thing to do is to just comply and move on, but I just worry that if we do that, and they really just have it in for us, then next week it will be no celery or no ellen or no standing or no beer showers. in each case it'll be easiest to just do what they say but eventually a line has to be drawn.

I agree with WT - I think just because we wear Yellow, have Marinators on our chests and #16 on our backs we are painted as some sort of criminal. It's just not on - they may or may not have it in for us but if they do we're going to have to draw the line somewhere. We are not the only people in that stadium that swear (I can guarentee the vollies do )

Mmmmm, I know..... however, it wasn't permanent "I'll never see the celery again" rue-ing, and also, the celery chant was in strong voice. The day the hardcore rue-ing starts is if celery ever got officially banned.

i'm not saying don't draw a line... what i am saying is avoid profanity in a large loud group yell.... we want to get along with the club don't we? ?
