not really - it prevents vote solicitation and means that those who attend are concerned enough and will vote better

Mick,
Concerned enough i'm not sure if i agree, Some people may be out of the area or on holidays i don't think that are not concerned about the meeting they just can't get their.
I understand the vote solicitation and that is fair enough.
Good Luck too everyone that is up for the role if i make it in time i will vote as i want my vote too count as i care about this new organisation but if i can't get their in time i hope that the right people get in for the roles.

not really - it prevents vote solicitation and means that those who attend are concerned enough and will vote better yeah - the last thing you want is people factionalising and canvassing for votes. the theoretical endpoint of that would be two people in a room each exercising hundreds of proxies on behalf of their factions. that said, there is clearly a priority placed here on attendance, which can arguably disenfranchise members who are farther afield. but given that the venue is across the road from the ground, and it's a marinators thing, i think in this context it's fair enough. i'd go if i could, but i have other things clashing with it which i'm sure is no different to some who live on the central coast. it's unfortunate, but i trust you all! ;D

For those, like Melsy who wish to vote, but are unsure if they will make it in time. Is there a set time for voting?

Hi folks, just a reminder that all food outlets will be opened tomorrow night until 9.00pm. The exception is the wood fire pizzas, which is open until 9.30pm. The Kendall will open at 5.30pm and close at 1.00am. so my advice is don't settle there to watch the match after the meeting. All underage will have to accompanied by a responsible parental age adult to the meeting. After the new Fusion Lounge will be open(See FA Cup thread) Could new board members please sign the Mariners football, which I have asked Jeff to pick up. good luck to all those nominated Charles CCLC
