Great to see Wellington Phoenix give last years champions a run for their money on the weekend, in their FIRST appearnace in the HAL.

But boy was i pissed to see in the crowd Phoenix fans wearing what looked like YELLOW! T-Shirts, that's fcuking blasphemy!. Then Fox commentators even mentioned them, "Yellow Fever", they had a large banner as well.

How fcuking UN-ORIGINAL!

We've been in this league for our 3rd year, this year, and WE ARE - WE SING & WE ALWAY'S WILL BE the "ORIGINAL":
"YELLOW ARMY, YELLOW ARMY"

Wellington have the colours of Black,White and yes Yellow.

But C'mon you pathetic Kiwi's, your team is predominantly BLACK, when it comes to your team shirt.

It makes far more sense for you lot to embrace BLACK and leave the YELLOW where it belongs, on THE COAST!

- You are and always have been The BLACK sheep of the Australian Football Family.

- Then there's your Basketball Team, The TALL BLACKS.

No other team has yet made claim to the colour BLACK, so jump on it now b 4 Canberra or Nrth Qld get a team in the HAL in the future and beat you to it.

- or "The Risen", having a black shirt with flames right around the bottom of it and a Phoenix coming up from it.

Chooky I think the point is here that we didn't invent the colours of yellow and blue or were the first ones to put the combo together, but we haven't copied anyone from the Hyundai A-League as Wellington have done. We have put an enormous effort into promotions such as 'yellow army' ' 'yellow wave' etc and Rowdy is well within his rights to fire the farkin hell up!

Black and yellow is Wellington's traditional colours so it would be a bit to ask them not to use it.

I've always thought of is at piss yellow personally, but skidmark mustard does sound nice.

i think labeling themselves as 'yellow fever' even if it was unintentional is still a little too similar to 'yellow army' Although there may have been reason for it.. im not sure.

To the few bogans whom may be reading this thread, please dont go on the 'yellow fever' site or anywhere else for that matter and start accusing wellington supporters of 'stealing the marinators idea' or anything similar that comes to mind.

It seems to me Wellington are trying to base everything on the mariners, even their supporters group. I say leave them to it, whatever they want, we are top of the league who cares about them.

The Jets strip is woeful...I think the shite colour was supposed to be gold, but they couldnt find any gold up there..only shite!!
