At half time I would have been happy to take a draw. At full time I feel ripped off. Lawrie must have fed them some jelly beans at the break. Kwassy convinced me tonight, great game, 2 great goals and worked his butt off helping in defence. What a cruel end for him. Hope it is not serious. They started a bit flat, to be expected after the Sydney game but came back well enough to convince me that we can beat anyone in the finals. Watch out.

Kwassy played a fantastic game really showing up all of us who said he shouldnt be around next year he showed us that he deserves a chance, we were robbed we should have won and it is the 2nd time in as many games against adelaide that we have scored a goal which has been dissallowed by offside even though it wasnt off side

Firstly, great to see the Sports Bar so busy! Thought Shark bait were very quick out of the blocks. We had a let-off when they hit the post but came back excellently in the second half. Pissed off with the pen decision and also the stupid mariners corner that led to it. Great goal, unlucky with the disallowed effort aswell. Im just glad their effort at the end was ruled out for off-side. Kwassy looked really up for it tonight and it was a cruel blow to the lad to finish up like that. Fingers crossed. Though Sullys distribution was atrocious! Happy with the point, 2 MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE games to come.
Mariners - keep playing the ball on the deck! Hoofing it doesnt work.

Think Kwassy has extended his life as a Mariner tonight.
I don't feel ripped off at all, 1-1 is a fair reflection of the match. Yes we had a goal dissalowed but Kwassie was offside when he scored so that evened out. It was a penalty Gumprecht was pushing Aloisi, yes it's soft but he shouldn't have done it, I bet Gumps is really pissed off about it now.

Can't believe he made such a silly move in that area! Love u Gumprecht but...... that was bad! Sully had a shocker, as did Clark and Spencer was a bit off too, Kwassie did well what a shame he has what seems to be a really bad injury. McMaster didn't give away a free kick tonight! I think we could have had them but i'll settle for a draw.

In truth we were very poor tonight, Sully's distribution continues to let us down and he was joined tonight by Spencer,Brown and I thought Tommy looked flat as well.
Kwassie started slowly but once he had that shot in the first half you could see him lift, tragic injury really because he was starting to look quite sharp.
Danny was superb again and yes, the second goal was onside and Tommy missed that sitter, another 2 points dropped. We may be getty edgy about the semis and Melbourne is massive now.

I think Kwassie is out for a while, it looked bad. Not our best performance tonight but at least we got the 1 point.

sully really needs to learn how to cross. he is capable of so much more but his crossing in the last few games have been so poor. he needs to play 100% better next fri night. we need to win that one.

I think the whole team needs to lift their game, it was not our best performance tonight. Far too many mistakes.

this may be a bit harsh, but i have had just about enough of spenny and sully's rubbish. clarky had a poor game but at least it was just one, not 10 in a row.
vukovic wilkinson beauchamp clark (just ahead of ogrady) sonic ossie gumps sully brown tommy stew
anything but this next week and i'd be frustrated. for a defensive midfielder, spenny doesn't break up any attacks and his distribution is piss poor. sully was horrible on the ball not for the first time, the last time he played well in a close match was when he had to play holding midfield because, unlike spenny, he is actually quick enough and has the anticipation to make the occasional interception and tackle.
the best cross of the night was provided by osman from the right, when he cut back onto his weaker left foot and curled it perfectly to the far post. sully's best cross was the one that rolled straight to valkanis because it was the only one that didnt go straight for a goal kick. not good enough for what the rest of the team is playing.
no one really played well and i have criticism for everyone except vuko, tommy, kwassy and super stew but one bad match is forgivable...half a season of shite is not...sorry boys!

Omni,
I can't see Kwasnik offside. Gumprecht made his fantastic run and crossed it BACK for Kwasnic unmarked.
Have to agree about how poorly O'sullivan played.

Omni, how long have you been watching the game yet you still don't understand the rules? Doesn't matter where he ends up - it's when the ball is played you are deemed onside or offside. On the first occasion Kwasnik was behind Gumprecht whoi crossed it so he could not have possibly been offside and on the second occasion he was in line with the defender. I challange everyone to look at the penalty decision again. There is no way Gumprecht could have yanked Aloisi in that direction when he was on his side. On the park we were outplayed and it was great to get a draw. At the end of the day we were robbed of three points. We have outplayed teams this year and got nothing. We deserved three points last night and I hope that this does not cost us.

We seemed to be playing the long ball too much esp in the 1st half and it didn't work, when we played it on the deck more in the 2nd half we looked a much better. I would have taken a draw before hand and at half time but thought we were a bit hard done by with the disallowed goal, although my heart was in my mouth when they had the ball in the net with 20 seconds to go, I've never been so relieved to see a flag raised ;D

agree with WT on sully and spence. i dont dont feel spencer does anything bad, its just that his work rate is very low. he is the captain and he should be acting like one. this has been happening for the majority of the season. sully was just very very very crap. it was summed at when he was played in perfectly behind the defence in the 2nd. he attempted a cross with no pressure on him and he kicked it into the stands. i just hope he picks up his act for next week.

I think next week we should start ossie on the right wing if we get sonic Back. It was another flat game for spenny and tommy did not play as good as what he did last week either. It was a very slow first half and adelaide probally should have scored a few times with a great save to stop that header and we can be thankful that the goals are not half an inch bigger because rech should have finished that goal but
i guess we can think its good that the team top of the table and with probally one of the most in form strikers at the moment Qu, and they could only score against us from the spot so thats a good sign.
