We have the football Gods on our side so it will all work out in the end! I don't want to presume we will go through but we may need these dieties as: " 3,000 seats being kept in reserve for away fans. Those tickets will become available next Monday, when the identity of Sydney FC's opponents - Adelaide United or Central Coast - is known." Mad scramble will be right! Who the hell is advising FFA on likely away fans if we win - Morris Iemma?

From what I understand, either CCMFC or AUFC will be allocated the Bay 1-5 tickets to on sell as soon as the full time whistle blows on Sunday. We would (I presume) buy tickets to the Grand Final in the away supporters bays from the Mariners, as per the Adelaide game, obviously more info would be provided by Ben/Ivan once we know we're through

We would (I presume) buy tickets to the Grand Final in the away supporters bays from the Mariners, as per the Adelaide game, obviously more info would be provided by Ben/Ivan once we know we're through Latest information in from Ivan this morning: -------------------------------------------------------------------- "Currently the FFA have put on hold approx 3500 'Away Supporters' seats plus there are a number of additional Bays which will not go on sale until next week, and these are across all ticket categories. There is no priority period for Mariners Members of Season tickets holders, people just indicate they wish to sit in the Mariners Supporters area's when purchasing from Ticketek. Supporters are more than welcome to purchase tickets from today, however they will not be in the Mariners supporters area's and will just be amongst various supporters (probably more likely Sydney FC fans)". -------------------------------------------------------------- Obviously we will get more details closer to Monday 9am, once we qualify. Note that there are some bays other than the "away supporters seats', which is positive. The free for all on Monday will be a worry as Bling fans can easily masquerade as Mariners supporters if the rest is a sell-out. According to the Bling forum the entire northern end is sold-out this morning but they will be releasing more tickets not taken up by 'stadium members'. At least Mariners fans who aren't members or season tickets holders won't be prevented from applying. Make plans to apply for tickets from opening of Ticketek on Monday. Marinators - see special arrangements for you earlier in this thread. As the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy said ' "Don't panic!"

yes they did.... to the general public. Sydney FC members on Monday, Football Family Members, Tuesday, Public from today. (Away fans from Monday next) There are also two major 'show' tickets going on sale from today which may have added to the crowd.

agreed, and too DJ, its about 42,000 I believe. So about 8-9% have been allocated for away fans, that's pretty shit! If it was a Mariners GF at CCS that would be 1,600 away fans, as if the FFA would only give Sydney that if it happened! Oh well - it will only be an issue if we get there, Adelaide wouldn't bring 3,000+ would they?

The early bird doesn't always catch the worm....
I tried to get some tickets online today and only managed one up in stand 29. So I went to ticketek at Erina and got 4 adult tickets in 30 (obstructed view).
got home and tried online again....this time was offered family ticket in corporate grandstand! obviously these had only just been made available.
it's a complete lottery! So we've gone with the four adult tickets and maybe, if it's CCM, we'll be able to wander over to bays 1-5

Latest from FFA: "FFA Media Release Wednesday, 22 February 2006 'FIRST RELEASE' OF HYUNDAI A-LEAGUE 2006 GRAND FINAL TICKETS FULLY SUBSCRIBED The first phase release of tickets for the Hyundai A-League 2006 Grand Final at Aussie Stadium (Sydney) were fully subscribed within five hours of going on sale to the public at 9am on Wednesday 22 February. A second phase allocation of 5,000 tickets across all categories of seating will be made available for traveling "Away Team Supporters" from 9am Monday 27 February. Away Team Supporter tickets will only be available for purchase at designated Ticketek outlets/agencies in Adelaide or on the Central Coast to ensure that local supporters have an opportunity to attend the Hyundai A-League 2006 Grand Final. No internet or phone sales will be available during this priority purchasing period. The general public may have a final opportunity to purchase any unsold tickets from 9am Tuesday 28 February (subject to availability)."

So...I've read everything I can on this, and I don't wanna repeat ask a dumb question, but is this my best bet?
1) Go to the Leagues club on Sunday night and try my luck at snavelling one of 500-odd reserved 'Marinator' tickets for Bay 3 which go on sale after the final whistle....assuming we win
or...
2) Line up first thing Monday morning at Ticketek and try to snavel one of the 3000-odd tickets reserved for Mariners fans...but these will possibly require a Mariners season ticket or membership code number (of which I don't have).
And if I wanna go regardless of whether or not we make the final, I have to buy them now, but then if we do make it I won't be able to sit down in bays 1-5, so that'd kinda suck.

The option 2 will not require proof of membership, or season ticket, or even that you are a Mariners supporter - just from 9am on Monday you try to buy some of the 4,500 tickets for 'away supporters' in an otherwise sold-out stadium. At the least the number, 5,000 including Marinators, is getting bigger all week!
