And how many has Nik scored from 30 m? that didn't take a deflection ;D When did he even score from 30 m out with a deflection? If your talking about his only goal in v2 against the sheep, it was never even close to 30 m out

I remember a game at Bluetongue, free kick at the home end, would of easily been 30m out, Nik absolutely smashed it and it hit the top right corner post, bounced straight back and even cleared Nik where he was standing, thats how powerful he can kick the ball, reasonably accurate too.

people should be aware that this season's premiers and champions may not necessarily get a berth in the ACL due to lobbying from australia and japan the structure of the ACL may change allowing a-league to qualify for the ACL immediately after the season finishes A little mention of this at the end of this article. www.smh.com.au/news/football/tobin-to-answer-socceroos-call-again/2007/10/30/1193618884209.htmlIf we do ever fall into line so that our teams play in the ACL immediately following the A-League season they qualified from, you have to wondewr how the change over will be handled. Someone will get screwed.

Knowing Nik quite well and his current situation regarding his knee i think some of the comments on this forum are a bit unfair. Firstly, Nik loves the Mariners and the Central Coast. He would love nothing better to be playing at the moment and to be helping the team as he did at the start of the season. I think people need to realise that. Nik has had an awful run of bad luck and no one feels more devasted than the guy himself. Imagine your frustrations and then multiply that by 100 and then your somewhere near what Nik feels not playing. Imagine going from representing your country to the sidelines. Its heartbreaking to say the least. Whats basically happened to Nik is after a knee operation last year was he was rushed back into the team too early only to injur himself again (ankle), thus missing the rest of the season. After having a good pre season and being 100% prepared to make up for missing the past two years Nik's knee flared up again. The original operation was obviously unsuccessful and another operation is now likely. Dont doubt for a second his resolve to bounce back. He's done it before and im positive he will do so again after this latest set back. Its true that his contract is up at the end of the year, but all Nik speaks about is playing for the Mariners and making up to the fans, you guys, teammates and especially Laurie for the past few seasons not playing. And let me just say what you guys have seen so far is just a glimpse of what Nik is capable of when he is back to full fitness. When fully fit i doubt anyone is capable of stopping him. Anyway, i hope some of you come to understand his current situation and show some encouragement rather than talk shit on the Internet. Cheers and go the Mariners.
