Something which has already been discussed is the possibility of getting some Marinator scarfs, but how about new Marinator Supporter shirts?
I have spoken to a couple of guys here who think we should definitely get some new shirts next year, which I agree with so Fish and I are speaking with a few business' to discuss the possibility of sponsorship for next year, plus researching manufacturers to get as good a deal as possible.
Question is, what would people change from last years shirts? I personally found them very warm and would choose a different material, but what do others think? Plus with the design if we could change anything what would it be?

I got a quote for some ladies shirts that we were discussing a few months ago. Full colour digital film in one position works out $24, less if we order more than 20. I've ordered these t-shirts before, were popular with students of all shapes, Jenny Bobbin brand, wear really well, soft fabric, nice cut. If we were meeting up I could probably organise a sample for any ladies that would like to see it.
Anyone got ideas for artwork?
Also, for the men's shirts, I can do the artwork. Let me know preferred file type and what you want to put on it.

Something which has already been discussed is the possibility of getting some Marinator scarfs, but how about new Marinator Supporters shirts?/quote] In a word DJ, no. Too many folks bought the old one. while it did well for the Marinators Bank account, it meant someone wandering around in one was automatically branded a Marinator. If they got up to trouble, their misbehaviour reflected upon the Marinators as a group. Marinermick already believes that the FFA (quoted during Semi Finals series vs. Newcastle) regard us as hooligans of the A-League, so do we want more attention? The Marinators jersey was fine when the strip for the Mariners wasn't available. But now the Mariners strip is available, I think that is more appropriate to wear. Polo shirts for weekends away for away games - limited run sort of stuff, fine.

as a general thing i too would like to see a lighter fabric, one of the reasons i didnt wear mine so much was how hot it was.
also, the marinators flag on the front of mine is worn off pretty badly and i've seen others that are much worse, and i only wore the shirt 25 times or so. so something to make that more durable.
maybe fish's favourite slogan that someone had on their banner at GF last year could be incorporated, "Central Coast - Everything about us is better than you"
other than that, some kind of more organised system of getting your name or forum name on the back of the shirt would be good too. maybe a blank space on the shirt to write it yourself, with letter stencils downloadable off the website, or a mass order with the shirt printers with names and sizes...something!

yeah i think sudetto's idea of names on the back is good. It is a good idea. Sporty, fun and cute. There are a few ways of getting individual names onto the fabric. The hard part is keeping it there wash after wash. In my limited experience tranfers are the least durable especially in a hot dryer. Painting with fabric paint lasts a long time, though. We used to paint all kinds of skulls and scary stuff on our clothes in the eighties. But you have to be neat. Stencilling can resolve that pretty easily. We could try embroidery. Monogramming is done individually but it might be expensive and heavy in a large area. Does anyone have any connections in this industry?

in adelaide, their jersys are very close replicas of the teams strip, with all their own nicknames on their backs, i though this was extremely effective. lighter material. sponser(s) on the shoulders nick name upper back
i think i will sit down and sketch something up with someone sometime soon, lol

Names on the back is a great idea. I'd be interested in a ladies shirt honey soy. Just rang printer who said the individual names are no problem and is adjusting the quote for me, couldn't give me a ballpark figure but will send quote, specs and type of printing available. She mentioned thermoprint and also digital print, said screen print is priced by size and can be dear. We've used thermoprint transfers before which were cheap but peeled off in a hot dryer so hopefully, digital is cheap, too <fingers crossed> Each name must be supplied as artwork, which is fine cos I will try to make it nice for us. After we get the price maybe we can decide on the forum if we want this option. Oh yeah, we can either have the name at the top across the shoulders or at the bottom at the back, so its sort of on the bum. Cool, pipray! I should start a list or something. I'm not sure on the best way to organise this. How about this: If ladies PM me their size and name they want on the back and if you have friends who want one, their size Then we can get a list of interested people for decision making, too.

i am keen for a jersey, seeing i was a poor bastard uni student and didnt purchase one (saved for a mariners jersey). will definately buy one, but i think that there might not be that many purchases this time around seeing there are alot of 1st edition Marinator shirts already out there. the success of the item may be an issue to be considered when chosing out of a second Marinators Shirt, or a Marinators Scarf.

Move any sponsor to below the number 16 to allow for names. How about singlets too for those hotter days

I'd buy one, and we all know I'm a tight arse.
The big issue for me was the durabilty of the mairnators flag on the front, mines doing OK but some are terrible. I'd like names but understand that's alot of work.
