Yo
I've recently got back into the country, and the Coast, and the A-League and Mariners have exceeded any expectations I'd had. The standard of play's good and drawing decent crowds (well, compared to the handful of lower-league English matches I saw, probably a fair comparison).
Been to three matches so far, the two home matches after the NYE match, and away at the bling, and Mariners fans are awesome.
Like a lot of people in this country, I've always supported football, grew up playing it (10 years for City) but never really got into the old NSL. Great to see that so many people are getting behind the A-League and the Mariners, and pushing football in this country. I never thought I'd see the day when 12000 people watch a league football match in Gosford...
P.S. Not a Leeds fan... Forest all the way (except if Forest ever play the Mariners. That'd be a tough one...)

Hi guys,
I'm a bit of a newbie to football (loving it so far - and yes I know it's a bit late in the season, lol!) - does anyone know a site where they explain the rules a bit? - especially fouls and how you get a yellow or red card???

Yes Germany has done bad things in the last 100 years, but there was more than just killing people.
For example:
Germany won 73 Nobel Prizes. Germany won the world cup 3 times, and were runner up 4 times. As far as i know (not sure about this one): Germany is currently in the lead at the torino olympic winter games. There is a lot more like Mozart, Schumacher....
In case your into cars: BMW, mercedes, porsche, audi
Just to make this clear, i don't think germany is a better country than australia, or other countries, you could find good things about most countries if you look for something. I just wanted to make some examples of things germany did right, cause i believe we did more than kill people in the last 100 years.

it was a poor-taste pisstake from a noob, not an insult to your country. no need to be too sensitive. between gumpers and the reinheitsgebot i can think of two very good things about germany.

Mozart was surely Austrian, being born in Salzburg. Admittedly any country would claim him if they could as he is one of the greatest men to ever live....

Yes of course he is austrian, but scince the other guy was clearly refering to Hitler (who was also austrain) I thought i might as well include mozart to even it out a bit.
