a few minor changes on the Mariners website too......
Brown is now listed as a left full back (last yr left mid) Hutcho has gone back to left mid (from attacking midfielder) and Matty Osman has gone back on the right side of midfield (from central midfield)
team page is only a guide I know but good to see Ossie going back on the right, looked more dangerous in V1 in that position.

Why aren't they all registered as utilities? Saves us missing out when it comes to signing replacement players Those moves do sound positive though DJ, as well as being most effective out wide as you said, Ossie being more involved on the right will be because of Sully's departure and the arrival of Grego, as with Hutcho and SP

Farthing do you have a copy of that list Id be interested to see whos on it I bought the new FourFourTwo today and he isn't in the top 10. Both he and Redmayne are listed, but both are outside the top 10. This is the list in no particular order. - Ivan Necevski
- Sean Rooney
- John Bennis
- Michael Zullo
- Richard McRoberts
- Costa Barbarouses
- Goran Talevski
- Daniel Visevic
- Anthony Doumanis
- Riki Van Steeden
There was another section of other players to look out for. These include: - Tahj Minniecon
- Sebastian Ryall
- Andrew Redmayne
- Stephen O'dor
- Peter Zorbas
- Evan Berger
- Scott Barsley
- Greg Sharland
- Ben Blake
- Peter Eleftherakis
- Nelson Sale
- Roy Krishna
- Paul Pezos
The list is available here, with more information.

I think he has already signed for Adelaide.
I suspect we may here some new signings this week as the membership drive is announced. It will be interesting to see which U/20 players will be signed. We still have 2 to sign.

from my calculations and assumptions we now have only one spot to fill in the squad:
- redmayne and holland as under 20s (lawrie has always said that these two will be signed - boogaard (apparently offerred a contract) - simon (speculating that he will be the striker signed as his lightning and sevens form has been fanatastic) - heffernan (speculation but signs point to him filling that left back position)
that leaves one spot
will lawrie leave this open and keep this spot under his sleeve?
my guess is that he will and by the end of the week we may well see our v.3 squad decided

- heffernan (speculation but signs point to him filling that left back position) i thought we were giving up on the idea that heffernan was returning and i thought all the speculation had gone over that. good to see we have a young squad though that should be there for many years to come.

When was/is that heff deadline? there is no deadline but lawrie said he wants to finalise his squad by the end of the month now that the nurnberg season is over we are certain to see some resolution in this matter

Don't forget I think Eagleton is still available if we don't get Heffernan. And i think I remember seeing somewhere that Lawrie said he won't go for the full squad of 23. After simon's recent form I say sign him.

The increased number of pre-season games, and the new training ground will only help our fitness and preparation IMO.

Top 4 will do at this early stage. As long as Sash and Nik fire and stay fit it all looks positive

top 4 would be nice, i think it is achievable adelaide might be a worse team in v3 with so many changes in their roster
