Of those mentioned on Total Football tonight Luka Glavas (Glory) and Adam Casey (NZ) would be worth considering as young back up strikers but only if Lawrie can bag a real 'gun' goal poacher.
Haven't seen any other names that grab me and make me say "sign him!""

im not sure about glavas, he didnt set the world alight at perth and should we really be chasing players that have been released from teams that finished lower than us??

The 2 strikers in the finals that Lawrie could be refering to could be Milton Rodreguiz and Fred. He said that he doesn't want to get into a bidding war, but these are 2 that I can think of

If you took that line too far Melbourne wouldn't sign anyone next year, and Adelaide wouldn't had improved from last year. I'm not sure about Glavas either, just that in the overall complexity of getting a squad of 23 together, he was one free agent so far I'd consider as a back up.

I think Fred is more of a winger than a striker and Rodriguez would probaly cost too much.

I could see Mori flopping if he came back here. If he did come back, it would surely be for only one year. He is a good finisher, but not the be all and end all of strikers. And I don't like his apparent selfish attitude on and off the pitch, particularly having a go at teammates. Let's get someone younger who is more interested in the Mariners than themselves and build something here. So your saying Mori should be captain then?

Luka Glavas was released by Perth, he would be great to buy, hes young and full of potential.

Hope he has lots of money, anyway Mr. Yorke wont like mojo's or largo that much. It wont happen because we have Vidmar.

But, if he wants to come to the coast, and if its possible, sign up Yorke.

im pretty sure that in last weeks express, in the interview with lyall it said that it would be possible to fit viddy under the salary cap, but that he would remain our marquee singing. that could all change if someone paid for all night dwight to come and play for us
