i am sure lawrie wont look for a replacement for sully IMO kwassy will move to the right wing and lawrie will look for another striker . we will have a new striker called Nik Mrdja next year  . who? . nah only jokin', i've heard some good things about this guy . however, most of what i have heard also says he hasn't played a lot of football in the last couple of years |

Sorry i haven't noticed or payed much attention to Owens can somebody plz fill me in.
How many goals
how injury prone
striker or play maker?
From wat i hear it's a very promising potential signing.
Plz tell me we not signing Veart may as well keep Sp.
Mrdja's fit and in my opinion will stay fit for v3(3rd times a charm)

Scored a couple of good goals this year and will certainly add to the strength of our midfield, having a midfielder who will chip in with a few goals (hopefully) is always a good thing! Mrdja - Yep this is is year! He has to stay fit, play well and score goals if he wants to stay on the coast beyond season 3! |

Here comes a Eggy prediction  golden boot top ten: 1 Mrdja 2 Sasho 3 Heff 4 kozzie 5 Allsop 6 Archie 7 Owens 8 the new Adelaide dude 9 someone else 10 Hutch Go on bet ya house on it. Ok that might be a little wishful but in all honesty i think the mariners and Melbourne will dominate V3 with mariners claiming the toilet seat  |

My mum was having lunch at Mingara on Monday and spied Lawrie having lunch with two men and a heavily pregnant lady. She isn't sure what Greg Owens looks like so can't confirm it was him but she said that to her mind both the men looked like players.
Make of it what you will.....

My mum was having lunch at Mingara on Monday and spied Lawrie having lunch with two men and a heavily pregnant lady. She isn't sure what Greg Owens looks like so can't confirm it was him but she said that to her mind both the men looked like players. Make of it what you will..... its a bit speculative because you dont know how many of the mariners, or for that matter lawries acquaintances, have pregnant wives/girlfriends and youd think that one of the men would be owens' agent/manager if they were formulating a deal. but on the plus side there wouldnt be all this hype for nothing and i hope he signs if his heart is in football. |

yeah can't speak for acquaintances but mum has been a season ticket holder for both seasons so she knows all the Mariners and co........

The indications that Owens will sign with us have been getting stronger and stronger. He would be a great buy - and he can pass it to players other than the goalkeeper with accuracy.
If we sign him, our midfield would have Gumprecht, Owens, Tommy and Jedinak with Porter who also is pushing for a spot, it's looking good! Plus if we keep Petrie on the left and Kwasnik moves back, we've got a lot of competition.
