Todays paper stated that Owens met with the Mariners yesterday for discussions, but he isn't in a rush to make his mind up. Melbourne have also shown interest in him. But wants to be closer to his family (as previously stated in this thread) to be closer to his family in the hunter valley. They said they should have an idea if he is coming or not by the end of the week.

over on the jets forum at the moment there are all sorts of rumours flying around - some say he is definitely signing with us, some say he is signing with newy, others claim that the reason he left newcastle in the first place was because he didn't get along with van egmond, etc, etc.
i don't think he's made his own mind up to be honest...

I've read and heard enough transfer rumours regarding the teams I've followed over the years to know that nothing is certain until the player has signed on the dotted line and is standing in front of the camera for the obligatory photo with the manager on one side and a ->scarf ->above ->his ->head. |
