All of a sudden it's working for me - it's half time and we are winning 1-0! Long range goal from Osman.

WE WON 2-0! Again. Oddly the website only updated at half time and full time. Mariner Mum had a mention "The Tottenham fans join Mariner Mum in full voice on the sidelines," The goal was either scored or assisted by Boogard - there was a deflection in the cross it seems.

According to the tournament schedule we play the semi at 5:59pm our time. Should we make the final that's at 7:59pm. I hope we play Tottenham

No they weren't - only at halftime and fulltime. Hopefully they get fixed by the semi-final. We will play Tottenham or 'Happy Valley' in the semi, depending on their match. Our record is good - we always made the final if we made the semis so far...

The Central Coast Mariners have claimed another one of European football’s major scalps at the Philips Lighting Soccer 7’s in Hong Kong today – downing Arsenal 2-0 in the quarter finals to progress to the final four of the competition.
Matthew Osman opened the scoring with one of the goals of the tournament in the first period, before Bradley Porter doubled the Mariners’ advantage with help from Nigel Boogaard with six minutes to play.
Despite matches now extended by three minutes each half, the Mariners were seldom troubled by the north Londoners, whose line up featured many Arsenal first team prospects and one current first team member.
The Mariners will now meet tournament surprise packets Happy Valley in the semi finals, one of the most successful clubs from Hong Kong’s First Division, with that match set to kick off at 3.59pm local time (5.59pm AEST).
However, as many matches played today at the Hong Kong Football Club have required extra time or penalties to determine the final score, the kick off time for the Mariners’ semi final match up is likely to be delayed by several minutes.
"Another great performance – we dominated from the beginning," said Mariners Football Manager McKinna after the match.
"Matty Osman scored a great goal and Bradley Porter popped up with a good touch in front of goal.
"They probably had one chance from a free kick and that was it, again, it was a good dominating performance from the boys.
"The boys are buzzing but are unfazed by it all – they want to go upstairs and have their lunch!
"We’ve got two and a half hours to turn around again and the humidity is still intense – I just hope that the boys realise what a great opportunity we have to get through to the final now."
McKinna stuck with the same starting seven that had recorded 2-0 victories in the Mariners’ opening Group D matches against City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong FC.
Goalkeeper Matthew Trott sat behind a back three of captain Alex Wilkinson, Nigel Boogaard and Bradley Porter, while midfielders Mile Jedinak and Matthew Osman supported lone striker Adam Kwasnik.
Osman’s opener was in accordance with many of the Mariners’ goals this campaign – simply breathtaking.
With Arsenal defenders moving in quickly to dispossess the Mariners’ utility, Osman showed incredible poise to slam a long-range drive past Arsenal’s Polish goalkeeper Wojciench Szczesny from virtually a standing start.
Porter’s opening goal of the tournament, and the Mariners’ second of the match, ended Arsenal’s resistance with six minutes still to play.
Defender Boogaard, one of the Mariners’ exceptional performers at this tournament, delivered a low cross from the left wing that escaped the intervention of any Arsenal defenders, but not Porter, who deflected a neat shot past the helpless Szczesny.
"Arsenal had a good team of young boys out, they are quite quick and good ball players, so it was great to get a result," said goal scorer Osman.
"It’s not every day you get to score against Arsenal and to do it the way I did was fantastic.
"Sometimes they come off, like today, and other times they might hit Row Z – I was just lucky today."
Hong Kong First Division heavyweights Happy Valley now stand between the Mariners and a shot at the Philips Lighting Soccer 7’s title. Kick off is at 3.59pm today local time (5.59pm AEST).
McKinna’s charges are still yet to concede a goal in this tournament, while Happy Valley have claimed upset victories over Celtic and Tottenham en route to their unlikely appearance in the last four.
Following their Hong Kong sojourn, the Mariners will return home to contest the third annual Central Coast Football Charity Plate against a local selection made up of the best players from the Central Coast Premier League. Kick off at Pluim Park on Saturday, 9 June is at 5pm.
So we play 'Happy Valley'...

Happy Valley won the Hong Kong 7's two years ago, and last year came 6th. They can't be bad if they beat Spurs and Celtic... Pity the match is delayed, hope the final is played tonight...

Glory for the Mariners in the most dramatic of circumstances! Having looked down and out and with only seconds to play, a typically spirited Mariners comeback has secured the Central Coast’s place in the final of the Philips Lighting Soccer 7's. Happy Valley were most worthy opponents, but were ultimately defeated by the Central Coast's rugged determination and unquestionable work ethic. The Mariners will now face Aston Villa, who they defeated 2-0 in their final Group D encounter yesterday, for the Philips Lighting Soccer 7's trophy. Kick off for the showpiece event is scheduled for 5.59pm local time (7.59pm AEST), but delays throughout the day due to inclement weather and the need for some matches to play extra time and penalty shoot outs has delayed the progress of the day significantly. www.ccmariners.com.au apologises for disruptions during the Live Match Updates, which can be attributed to the wireless network connection at Hong Kong Football Club crashing at the start of the days play.

Not sure about the prize money, but we do get a trophy at least. Wonder how Villa will play against us as they lost to use in the group stage 2-0. Will be interesting. They beat PSV 3-0 as well. BRING IT HOME LADS!
