Unlucky boys, what a fantastic effort by all concerned! A very promising season (s) ahead with youth like we have coming through and also leading the side. HUGE thanks to Ben Coonan for keeping the Mariners FC site up to date so quickly and efficiently, cheers matey! Heads up lads, we're all extremely proud of you all!

well done to beat some tough opposition, some of the goals sound like they were crackers - bring on pre-season cup and v3

At the very least, appearances like that in HK will give Lawrie lots of data to go through about what the players can do. But given it's 7s, the game is different, lots of space, utility players run riot etc. Good on the squad for making the Final, maybe it should be a yearly thing for the Mariners to get over there and give up and comers for the Mariners a go and see what they can achieve?

I don't know why, but the thought of a bunch of random Tottenham supporters cheering us on makes me laugh. Let's get a sister club relationship going, whereby they can have some random academy kid from East Gosford in exchange for Berbatov. Sounds entirely fair to me. HA!!!
;D

Great effort that, given in 2005 they lost in the quarters. Good signs!

Great effort that, given in 2005 they lost in the quarters. Good signs! Mariners lost to PSV in the semi's in 2005. (Beat Man U in the QTR's as far as I can remember)

Outstanding players where Simon & Woody & Porter; however, all played awesome game. Got tired legs towards end games but saw some brilliant football. Hope it's on again next year as it was well run, nice poeple, and all standards of football great.
Watched the Bondi Boys play & saw Fergi & Alex play. We cheered the boys on and Fergi scored an awesome goal from the left hand side of the field outside the 18 yard box. Brilliant Fergi - in extra time to boot. Don't think he could run any more!
All the lads played terrific football, Trott saved some brilliant shots 2-0 all games until semi finals. We went through undefeated until finals. Ithink Vila were dirty we beat them however they could only manage 1 goal against us not 2.
Would love to go again & see more yellow. I have the perfect hotel for us to stay, it overlooks the football pitch. So proud to show our colours at the game and wave the flag just like those poms do. We also gave those poms curry about who they followed - loved it.
Mariners til I die!!

I got some photos but my problem is that I'm too busy cheering to take photos, even forgot to get picture of medals close up. Can't do everything! Cheering loudly and waving our colours is more important than pics but I do have some. When worked out system will try & put them on.
