* The SCC are a joke. Give it away now lads, pathetic. And as for The Cove........ well, they try I guess. Too much infighting and interests to truly succeed 'Knick Knack Paddy Whack' get a run?, Thats all they had in the PSC at Parramatta. It was like pulling teeth after the 100th time they sung it.

"* Clint Bolton. Seriously..... do Sydney FC pay him or what??" (my quote bits have gone ) I actually thought he was on of their best (apart from the brain-explosion lad lead to the goal). The reflex save in the 2nd half (from Owens I think) was out of his superhuman bag (from Rd 1 V.2). But hey, we played them off the park all over the ground. "SFC lost as a club? Sucked in! thats what you get for building teams, and not clubs!:" The LOVE that we got from the boys when they came over in the rain at games-end was more than worth the price of admission. Nikky M, the last, standing on the barricade shaking clenched fists in victory to us as the went away was priceless. Beating Sydney so just feels MASSIVE for all of us.

Best away support in terms of passion and noise ever (and that includes EAS in the semi). The bond between players and fans is strong and showed after the game.
Proud to be a Coastie after that

Proud to be a Coastie after that Not surprised you are......what the players did after the game was a simple but very effective touch. By going right up to the fans, it reinforces the bond, and lets the fans know the players appreciate their backing. I was sitting near the halfway line, but watched the celebrations and thought to myself that this is a REAL COMMUNITY CLUB.

He was going the wrong way and it was our bad luck that the shot caught one of his boot studs.

What a great night!!
Throat - sore. Head - still very ugly and still throbbing. Knees - goooooooooooooonne. And last night makes it all worthwhile.
A fighting performance from our lads that everyone can be proud of. A terrific game, I cannot believe that some moron from Newcastle posted such negative tripe about the game. Hope you come to Gosford, you muppet, and catch the Paper Aeroplane express back to idiotsville in complete silence after watching the Jets being destroyed by CCMFC.
All of you made our Marinators Bay a fabulous place to be last night. Noise, excitement, constant chanting, and an amazing last 10 minutes that sent shivers down one's spine. Great to see the lads come over to us after the game, and Mrdja's & Heff's reaction was very, very passionate; I know our fans loved it.
Watching the game right now, gee, Slater is fair commentator - NOTTTTT!! Maybe it will take winning the Toilet Seat to start making people believe in our club.
Overall, a great start to V3. Now, let's concentrate on a BIG home opener against the Phoenix.

Great game from all. the mariners have the best players, fans and management. looking forward to next week and hopefully taking home 3 points that week will install some confidence for rounds 3 and 4 which could be the hardest run of the season in my opinion

far out! watching the replay i now had no idea about the size of our group last night. that by far was the best away (besides GF HAL V1) crowd we've had in syd! that was what football was about last night. 90 minutes 90 emotions.
all i can say is we played great football and the razzle element was abundant last night. Juninho was great to watch, had no idea how quick he was!

Heffernan should've gone off for that body check but apart from that the result is fair. Both sides had 2-3 chances just that you took one.
We'll be infinitely better in 7rnds time.

Im sitting at work, trying to talk to customers, having to constantly repeat myself because my voice is so low and crackley from all the singing and shouting. My head hurts from all the beer. My feet hurt from all the walking, as its been a long time since iv been to sydney and done that massive hill both ways, and stood the whole game.
But I wouldnt change a thing...
