I'd rather be at work staying busy than sitting around waiting for the game! Surely that will make the day slower?
I'm not overly confident, just because Sydney don't tend to lose at SFS. All other signs point in our favour, but this fixture last season showed that you need a bit of luck too.

The rain needs to stop well before Fri, my garage has already flooded, which wouldn't be so bad cept it doubles as my room! Its really not fun to wake up and find your floor is sopping wet!! Either way it should be a great win for the Mariners on Fri, Syd defence isn't really up to scratch at the moment.

Does the fact that the Sydney forum havent even started a thread about this game say anything about their confidence? My guess is its much like the "dont wanna talk about it" vibe

My guess is its much like the "dont wanna talk about it" vibe Game thread comes on Wednesday or thereabouts.. When team news come in... When the last of the signings are made... ;D We've been talking about this game since the fixture list was announced because, quite frankly, we've been ready since we signed Sasho. We saw with Mori last season that with a finisher on board we would be one of the top two/three sides.

Have been impatient for this one for weeks now. I remember how disappointing it felt after the first game last season. Not a great performance, but we should still have got at least a draw.
This time round, they'll hopefully be quick out of the traps. Hopefully, Sasho & Nik will show a little bit more. As I said in a previous post, it's early days, but I think there's a lot better to come from them than we've seen in pre-season.
Will definitely be trying to get out of work early that day.....

In that game we had two good chances.
Kwassa's record speaks for itself but you still wouldn't call him a 'clinical' striker.
Sasho would have buried two that day had he played for us (and wouldn't have set the goal up at the other end!)
So we're in with a good chance.

Was that the goal where he was marginly offside, layed it back for Fyfe? to smash it home?

Don't remember about offside but that's the goal. Cushioned volley, or perhaps a chest back to Fyfe outside the area.

In all fairness Bolton made 2 great saves to deny Kwas - the second was a poor miss thou, straight at him just about. The first of what 4 or 5 games without a goal

I can already tell you the (hideously planned) lineup:
-----------------------Bolton
McFlynn------Rudan---Popovic-------Fyfe
----------Milligan----------------Talay
Biddle--------------Juninho------------Corica -----------------------Brosque
