Coming Tuesday I feel better....... (not really, it's just the next line in the song ) Good to see some real culture on here! Yeah! Right Jimmy? After watching their game vs Victory, I'm quietly shi....., no, no, I'm looking forward to it! It should be a cracker, and I know Lawrie will have been going over the recording time and again.

Who should take our penalty shot? i really think there disipline will concede a penalty in the box.I'd be worried if mrdja was to take one as i could see it ending up in the lake or knocking someone in bay 16 out.

Kwassa should generally play 90 minutes and take the kick, but hypothetically I'd like Viddie to step up if he was on! Uruguay style.

I'm all about culture. ;D Re: our penalty taker - that's Kwasnik's area, but he shouldn't be on the field. If he is, let him take it, and if not - I'd love to see Mrdja break the top corner of the net, but I also like Brett's idea of Vidmar. I reckon Osman or Tommy would do well also.

Would not the 'net dull the speed a little bit?? Although this _is_ a Mrdja kick we're talking about......
Either way, Mrdja penalties to be taken at the south end only. Make sure there are no cars in the vicinity at that point in time. Tell the ball kids to watch out too.

If theres no kwaz I think Tommy Gumpy or Heff(i'm biased) It would also be fun to see Danny take one if we were in a comfortable position in a game.

Lol good point shit that was scary (juiniho open net from long range didnt miss by that much if he gets another chance he'll put it away) maybe Danny needs a goal to get it out of his system then he'll stay put.

. please not danny
. i do agree it would be good for him to get one and it can have good psychological effects on the opposition (if he scores)
. but i don't want to see the ball going out for a throw-in from the spot (sorry, couldn't resist...)

If Heff is given a suspension, then I think Ossie should definately be his replacement as watching the Phoenix play Victory, they definately have some solid, tall-timber in their backline. (edit, with Viddie coming in to CB & Wilko going out to the RB position, WP were very strong on corners against Melb)
Lawrie's 'experiment' of switching Kwassie to the left & pushing Gumps out to the right whilst bringing Hutch (who usually plays either L or R) into the middle, despite getting us the win on Friday nite, wasn't a roaring success. Gumps could be seen on many occassions out wide with space in front but the ball wasn't 'switched' to his side. Same happened when Tommy came on.
Kwass IS NOT a left sided player, he wasn't confident, he ALWAYS uses the right side of his right foot to drag or cut the ball back to his preferred right foot..... so just play him on the right and let him go straight to goal with a confident HIT or a more controlled and accurate cross/pass back inside.
Put Andre back in the middle where he would switch the ball into space/ unmarked players when a particular side of the park opens up, that's what he's good at at.
The only time I would play Andre out wide again this year would be when we play Qld, Tiatto loves to come forward and his aggressive style would be countered by Gumps toughness and experience with this type of opponent whereas say Kwassie or Hutch might be under the kosh by "Double feet, Double Studs, Danny Tiatto"

For me, a team would be Tommy and 10 other blokes. If I have to pick, then (injuries notwithstanding).442 diamond formation
Danny Ossie - Wilko - Booginho - Heff Kwassie - Tommy - Mile - Hutcho Nik - Saso
A dry night, over 10k and 3 points.............brilliant.
