I hate the day after games as it is the longest possible time away from more mariners games in the season. Will all of our internationals return for this match? if not how many will we have out?

This is a BIG game for the Mariners. If the boys can pull a win in front of 35,000 hostile fans in Melbourne, then they can do anything.

Radinho, under 18's allowed in the Kendall for this one (its booked as a private function for us) as long as you are accompanied by a responsible adult.

This game is HUGE, an away win at Docklands would be one of those things that would make the Mariners VERY hard to top. Should be a great game, I hate Sunday games!

This is the first game this season that I don't have a good feeling about.
My main reason is the pace of the Victory. Archie Thompson and Danny Allsopp are two of the fastest strikers in the league IMO. Compare that to the pace of our two centre backs, Boogard and Vidmar, that is a major problem IMO.
Last week against Queensland, we were shown how dangerous that can potentially be. Fortunately for us on Thursday night, Queensland didn't have the players to finish of those moves. Danny and Allsopp are players who potentially could.
Omni, I hate them too.

This is the first game this season that I don't have a good feeling about. Oddly this is the first one I have a good feeling about - which is why I don't bet! Not happy that my plans to be there are not going to happen! Have a great time those going down (or up for you Taswegians)

This might be an away game, but who cares?? This game is the very definition of FIRE THE FARK UP FARKIN'!!!!
Runaway leaders with an on fire front duo and a rampant midfield, vs. last seasons champions who aren't quite firing at the moment, at the site of the best match of the entire of last season......... how could you NOT get fired up?? I for one will be going mental in the Kendall on Sunday.
FIRE THE F*CK UP EVERYONE!!!

Just read this in Half-Time Orange for those that aren't pumped enough for this Sunday although he mainly bags Perth. I wonder if he knows how small the central coast is compared to the capital cities.
"Posted by St Pauli - St Kilda on Mon 10 Sep 07 at 06:17pm: Interesting Jesse.
But after having seen Melbourne v Glory last week, and Perth notching up their third scoreless draw… here’s my suggestion for a topic:
With the A-League trying to introducing exciting football to get people to the games, should we consider a penalty for teams that play out a nil-all draw.
While Perth would be delighted with their unbeaten start, one has to question what they’re bringing to the game.
Both Perth and Central Coast (arguably the most negative teams) have the lowest crowds in the league, and one has to ask whether the football, and lack of adventurous play has anything to do with it. It’s still a mystery to me that Perth can go from being the shining light of the NSL to little more than a shambles in the A-League.
I know you can still have a great scoreless game, but early signs seem to suggest the teams with a negative mentality are the ones reaping the rewards on the pitch, while the fans suffer.
It might sound like sacrilege, but what about offering half a point extra to teams who score two or more goals?
Or only giving half a point to teams in a scoreless draw?
The ideas might seem drastic, but let’s think outside the square if it means getting more people to the games.
Because even with my membership I might have something else planned the next time Perth Glory come to town."

maybe we have the lowest population bases (bar newcastle) in the league halfwit, that guy is you should reply about about us having five times as many people to games per capita as they do

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Seriously, all these accusations of negative football being thrown at us, utterly hilarious. When we were losing last season we were everyone's second team and they adored the "wonderfully attractive" football we played, but now that we're pwning anyone and everything in sight, a tight 1-0 win away from home (where we STILL played damn attractive football - better than any of that shit Sydney has served up for one and a bit seasons now) is suddenly "negative" football.
"Central Coast plays negative football" is the mating call of the '6 points behind' fan.
