Without either Tommy or Gumps we have only Kwass to provide any creativity. Somehow we have to find the spark to create, that is 2 fairly low key performances running now......
Viddies 1st yellow wasnt, 2nd was (sadly)
Hutcho was immense but sadly the HAL has now passed Browny and Clarkie by. I might get slated for it but sorry guys, we are far weaker with both of them on the side.

agrred re: hutch a whale of a game from him, we need wilko and mrdja back ASAP though! Can't wait to have these boys back. The only question is who drops out of the front line to make space for Mrdja, or do we go to a front three?

i would think youd have mrdja off the bench with mori starting That will probably be what will happen until he regains match fitness again. However I'm pretty sure Mori will still be here by the time Mrdja is fit again, and I don't think we can afford to leave Mrdja out of the starting XI. I doubt it will happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing a 4-3-3 formation like this: ....Mrdja...Mori...Sasho .....Hutch...Jedi..Kwas Heff...Wilko...Boogs...Ossy ...........Danny The only problem with that IMO would be a lack of Width. Although with Kwasnik getting forward down the right and Nik Mrdja being able to drop into the left channel with Heff and Ossy in support, I don't think width would be a problem. However, I highly doubt we will see that formation.

Once again....we didn't start with Gumps and amazingly...we were ordinary..what a suprise!!!!!!
Carky is not up to the standard (we did wonder if RB would haunt us this year?) and why would you start Browny? We all love him but he is a squad player at best.
Time to wake up boys...we were lucky last week and got done this week. Put the best players one the park from the beginning and stop playing poilitics and favouring the local coast boys.
I'd rather see Gumps play at RB than on the bench. Wake up Lawrie.

Browny is as hard working and dedicated as they come - tremendous team player...........but how many of the other likely top 4 teams would he be a starter for?? Probably none TBH.

Or keep Hutch in the middle, move Kwassy back out to the left and bring in Tommy, Owens or Gumprecht on the right.

Thought Danny was back to his best, desperately unlucky with their second He looked a completely different player compared to his performances in pre-season. That second goal looked like a great save until it hit the post and went in.

watching matches on the tv is very frustrating.
if our performance today is the same next week, we will get schooled as Newcastle played some pretty good football against Syd last night.
the old school i.e Brown and Clark seem to be finding it hard in terms of fitness. the effort is there and they are legends in my book but the speed of the HAL seems to be getting the better of them. i dont understand the time Pondeljak is getting. subbing him way too late in the game does nothing as a quality player like Tommy doesnt have the time to make an impact. just fresh legs that cant adjust to the tempo in time to create something.
Late subs are getting frustrating and there was a period in the game where adelaide were just coming at us in phases and we looked tired and desperately needed a substitution.
Matthew Breeze is a frustrating referee, but Adelaide play a very annoying game of football, falling when touched, niggling here and there. Burns needs to get some nuts and quit diving.
hopefully we lift against the scum next week.

Newcastle played some pretty good football against Syd last night. You CANNOT be serious?? Surely....... We could play twice as bad as we did last week and still do Newcastle 5 - 0, they have been _garbage_.

Scum will be much stronger against us next week with Musialik and Griffiths back in the squad. I hope Jardel starts though. Danny will get another easy clean sheet if he does.

Monkeyalik and Lardel will have to be waaay better than they have been but in saying that we will be a little thin at the back next week.
Agree with Serious the Jets against Sydney were dreadful but derbies are built around tough dogged battles and this will be another one surely.
