I still think of all the people on this forum lawrie is still best suited to be manager. I guess that is why managers earn so much money. Your opinion hasn't always reflected what the gaffer is doing. Having options to discuss because of the depth of our squad is healthy. Recognising that we're top of the league but aren't yet playing champagne football is even healthier. Lawrie has sprung selection surprises before, as recently as round one this season, and with our unavailabilities I wouldn't be writing off anyone's opinions/predictions. Get off it old man. I think you misunderstand, I was definitely not having "a go" at anyone at anytime in this thread. We all have opinions on team selections and I have not been backward in expressing some that are definitely out of left field (see comments regarding inside lefts etc). FFS that is the main reason for a forum. I include myself when I state that Lawrie is the best suited of all the comments on this forum. My comment was to say that whatever our theorising I have complete faith in the Gaffer. Even if it sounds that way I am definitely not being a grumpy old bastard this time. It is hard to shake an image. Maybe I need to watch my tone of voice. ;D

Anyway, of course my opinion has not always agreed with the Gaffer and I have stated: I do not agree with him playing Kwassy up front at any time and I do not agree that the right is his best side. I am concerned that Hutch is not enough of a playmaker for the role he is in and would like to see either Gumps, Tommy or Owens. I think Browny is better suited in a defensive role than attacking. Now that I think about it you will make me a Grumpy old.......

i am just suprised you have understood that it is just opinions on this forum! and you accepting that others have different ones maybe you need to find a grumpier bear for your avatar. that one does not look threatening at all.

It is hard to shake an image. Maybe I need to watch my tone of voice. ;D No, just that you have always been one of the most knowledgeable posters on the forum...but you know it. ;D Some young upstart has to keep you in line, even if it is just as a distraction from the intelligentsia convention in the derby thread.
