EXCLUSIVE, HOT OFF THE PRESSES!!!! "Burmese Military said to be "stunned" by the veracity of attacks planned by Central Coast Soccerball Hooligans By Dickhead Noone, 2nd October The newly formed 'Central Coast Elite Returnz' have promised to single handedly massacre every Newcastle fan that makes an appearance within 50 miles on Gosford in a fashion that would make the Burmese military blush. Young hoodlums causing nothing but trouble, and soccerball should be banned if you ask me, it causes nothing but trouble, and it takes a valuable police presence away from their real jobs in manning the F3 to catch real criminals, speeding P platers.... another example of youths run wild. We need a curfew to stem the tide of youthfulness. Perhaps these soccerball fans should take a look at the AFL as an example of how to interact with the community - I mean, look at the contributions of Ben Cousins, Alan Didak, Michael Voss, and many others, to see what being a real sports fan is all about. Soccerball causes nothing but ethnic tensions - did you see all those white kids having a go at all those other white kids at the game the other week? Of course I didn't, I wasn't there - I don't go to Soccerball, but a friend of my nephews said he read about it on www.myspace.com/greenstreetelite, and that's as solid as gold for me. BRING BACK THE BEARS!!!!" Anyway, that's my humour done for the week.

This is going to be FN huge! I cant wait. Have not seen a whole match since pre-season. Looking forward to belting out 90 minutes of song as we beat the filthy scum 4-1. 13k is my crowd prediction.
Bring on the FN Jesters!

My hope: 3-5-2
Vukovic Brown Boogard Heffernan Kwasnik Jedinak Hutchinson Gumprecht Pondeljak Mori Petrovski
More likely: Brett’s 4-4-2
Vukovic Brown Clark Boogard Heffernan Kwasnik Jedinak Hutchinson Pondeljak Mori Petrovski
Brown will go with Bridge, Heff with Griffiths.
Mile on Musialik, then Hutch will get room to move - they simply don't have another central midfielder who can play a good enough role closing up gaps there. He won a lot of ball on Sunday and distributed it well, so that should go well.
Tommy should be told that his job, his one and only job is to 'drop hand grenades all over the place' as one great manager once said to a great young player (Shankly to Keegan).
No Durante will hurt them badly - Laybutt will take Mori, Griffiths will have Sasho.
But they're seriously undermanned down back and looked hopelessly porous against a pretty feeble Jets attack on Saturday. Funnily enough I thought Laybutt was their best in spite of his notable lack of pace – he positioned himself well and usually seemed to get a foot in where he needed to. However, we’re not playing one out front, so he won’t be able to play the same game, and Newcastle will be relying a lot on Adam Griffiths.
I think we’d look a lot better with Tommy in the hole rather than wide, but I’d rather have Hutch in the middle than on the left. Regardless he should be break the Jets’ structure down with his running – he’ll either draw a defender up and beat the line with a pass or he’ll simply have space to get into and make the chance for himself. He’s about due for a massive game so maybe this weekend’s the one.
We’ve got players who can still play up from where they’ve been the last few weeks – most notably Sasho, Tommy and Mori. If even one of those guys has a good night, then we should be pretty right.
Prediction: 3-1, Griffiths or Bridge to jag a late consolation. Crowd of 12,000.

Can you elaborate on celebrating the past? From t.v perspective, you looked like a bunch of Mariners supporters. They weren't part of the squadron, they were jets supporters. I have only followed since the Newcastle Breakers days. But i understand there was a newcastle team before that named KB United??? Im sorry that is about as much info as i know They weren't part of the squadron, they were jets supporters. There you go - another difference between us and them. All mariners supporters are classed as marinators, it doesn't matter if you sit in the bay or not. We are all inclusive. Newieutd - Feel free to tell those Jet's supporters to wear yellow on Sunday.

Its a fair call, we always travel to Scumcastle in numbers, usally at least 2 busses, plus individual cars, plus those who travel on the train... but we usually only get a paltry dozen travel down to bluetounge. Hopefully this weekend they will get into the Derby spirit and scrounge the change for a train fair!

I'm not so sure about that. I've spoken to supporters that don't like to call themselves Marinators. Mainly because they don't sit in Bay 16 and they don't like to sing.

I thought it was the best way to describe it to you. Alas all it seemed to do was give you ammunition i.e. they dont sit in Bay 2 (at EA) where the squadron sits. I dont sit in Bay 2 but still class myself as a squadron member.

the great thing is that the jets fans (reading their forums) are responding to this article in the jerk of all manners, and dont actually get that Lawrie is trying to spice up a Derby fixture for the HAL, making it much bigger and gaining bigger crowds and more attention.

It is god if they get angry about it. They might get angry enough to bring some numbers, maybe even similar to te cove. I love a match with 2 sides banter.
