I'm sorry those last 6 games mean nothing to me (well close to it) if we lose this one (and the other two derbies this year).
So FIRE THE FARK UP and lets smash the Jesters!
p.s. we really need a "FIRE THE FARK UP" smilie!

Particularly fired up about this game. Top of the League clash, local derby, an ex player/captain in THEIR squad, a fat slob as their striker.... (see avatar at left) <<<<<

P.S. 2 or 3 goal victory to us, Newcastle have got nothing at the moment. And if Jardel starts, it makes the job that much easier. An overweight embarassment, and a disturbing waste of football space. I _almost_ feel sorry for Van Egmond for having to put up with Con's shit and playing the fat bastard. If we thought that Tommich copped shit for being fat two weeks ago, it's nothing compared to what Jardel will cop on Sunday. Timmy, can you make sure the kids bring more than 50 this time?? P.P.S. Joel Griffiths is a c*nt.

They also took more to Sydney than what we did IMO, the fact that we played on a Friday night in wet conditions didn't help us but I thought they took decent numbers considering. Oh but yeah Joel Griffiths is a f***ing cheating c**t! ;D With our defensive worries I'm concerned with this game, I think we'll conceed which means we'll have to score 2 at least to win.

From John Taylor at the Telegraph:
CENTRAL Coast Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna yesterday fired the first shot at Newcastle Jets fans for not travelling and supporting their team as sparks began to fly ahead of the big clash in Gosford on Sunday.
He urged Jets fans to get on the highway and turn up in droves to Bluetongue Stadium and create an electric atmosphere.
"We're first, they're second and we're just down the road from each other," McKinna said. "We regard Sydney as a derby game but this really is the big one. The players certainly don't need any motivation.
"It's disappointing that whenever we have to go there (Newcastle) our fans support us in numbers. Newcastle fans don't come to Gosford."
And since Nik Mrdja broke Andrew Durante's leg in the first Pre-season Cup, there has been plenty of spice between the two clubs.
Durante won't be playing on Sunday but Mrdja could be returning from injury and sitting on the bench.
Even so, McKinna thinks left back Dean Heffernan could be his key man in containing Newcastle Jets striker Joel Griffiths.
"Newcastle fire when Griffiths is there and it should be one of the great individual battles of the day," McKinna said yesterday.
"They are also mates from the Sutherland days and just two great and fierce competitors.
"And I think we can go a long way to winning this game if we can also stop Stuart Musialik.
"He and Griffiths make them tick and Newcastle weren't effective against Sydney on Saturday without them."
McKinna will probably assign one of the A-League lesser lights Mile Jedinak to cancel out the ball-playing Musialik.
"He is very imposing, strong in the air, good on the ground and is a very strong tackler," McKinna said.
Despite both teams losing their first matches over the weekend, they still come face-to-face as the first and second placed teams.
"We just couldn't hold on after Viddy (Tony Vidmar) was sent off (two yellow cards) against Adelaide," McKinna said yesterday.
"It was a great effort by the boys. I thought we did enough to get a point. I can't be too down on them.
"We've had a fantastic start."
McKinna said that Greg Owens, a former Newcastle player, would be in line for selection.
While McKinna was more subdued after the 2-1 loss to Adelaide, rival coach Gary van Egmond plans to give his players a dressing down after the 1-0 defeat to Sydney on Saturday.
"I'll be speaking to the players tomorrow about their mental approach rather than their ability," van Egmond said yesterday.
"If Griffiths is out or Musialik is out, there is a need for other players to step up to the plate," he said.
"These derby games, like the one against Central Coast, have always got that bit extra in them.
"There is a need to win the individual battles."
Van Egmond said there was no chance of defender Durante being ready.
"He picked up a cork in the game against Melbourne and it turned nasty. It developed into a tear," he said.
"Hopefully he'll be back for the Wellington game but he's certainly not in the mix for this one."

They also took more to Sydney than what we did IMO It _looked_ like they took more because they made Row D their front row, whereas we started further towards the back of the bay. Hell funny quotes from Lawrie today though, I'm sure some trolls will be on here soon enough to crap on about how we only take so many away blah blah blah. Face it Squadrunts, we're better.
