Loyalty is good mate but be fair they were the best they have ever been and IMO we finished second on the night. There turn out was better than half decent. By far the best they've ever been. From Bay 40, visually good (except for the shit colour) especially the coordination. They may have gained something visually out of loading the bay from the front. But overall 50:50 at best. Not owned. (Not blind loyalty). At home at Bluetongue we (you) have the disadvantage that some support we (we!) build in the away bay at Aussie or EAS is spread throughout the stands. Probably the same for them, to their advantage last night.

Best turnout by them so far and credit to them. Sadly, being so young they are unable to hold their drink and just make utter tools of themselves.
Their colours hurt them, it just doesnt stand out and shows great insight and wisdom from the idiots that run the club.
I suspect we might have been singing 1-0 and you f*cked it up if we had nicked a late equaliser at EAS. Not losing a derby counts for a lot as a supporter (think how you feel when you walk out of EAS after we have lost there. I hate it).
The performance from bay 16 wasnt as good as against Perth for some strange reason?? Stage fright perhaps or just "one of those days".

IT was a derby, NEwcastle fans will say that we owned you and mariners fans will say like wise. aLways going to happen. But some will tell it as they see it. Just like Fish has done. No need to shoot him down, but respect his opinion on the issue. YEs it was about time we finally got some decent numbers down in Gosford. ANd hopefully its the start off better things to come in our numbers for away support.

Thats why you lot stand out when you in Town. Having any edge over your rival is the best feeling and you all know it.. Im sure it would have been the same, if we scored first.

Impressive turnout by Newcastle fans and they sang well. Marinators definately won the battle but thats nothing to boast about seeing as we were at home. How many scummers were there? I'd guess about 500 which must be more than double any previous efforts. Gives us something to aim at when we play up there....looking forward to it already!

Timmy mate I just say it as saw it.Never said there was shame in having competition from you lot just thought it was about time thats all,I am also over the dick size contest as Dru said earlier.Well put you back into line when we come up there no doubt. I still dont like you though You really do need to work on the inner policing of the Squadron or you WILL end up the laughing stock mate I mean burning the scarf then putting the thing on youtube? Every group has an unwanted element its how you deal with it that counts mate. Do what we do let Auburn eat them ;D

There was a definite harder edge to the squadron this time. I have a mate that drives one of the coaches down when Newcastle plays. We usually go and visit them with my family all donned in yellow. The banter on previous derbies was fairly harmless. On the weekend it was far more menacing and we decided it was just not worth it.
These over the top fans are why I stopped going to the NSL years ago. Thank God that we only seem to get this element here in such numbers on the Newcastle games. I'm not talking about all the squadron - some of which I have exchanged pleasantries and not so pleasantries at other games. However, they do seem to have an element more worried about getting pissed and causing trouble rather than enjoying the footbal with a bit of friendly banter.

When I was leaving it happened to be at the same time as their support started leaving, they sang "We f*cked your mum 1-0" the whole way out the ground.
I was a few yards away from this fattish blonde guy that was putting his finger right in the face of nearly ever Mariner supporter walking in the opposite direction, then saying things like "sh*t team", he was probably drunk but a real tosser nonetheless. He deserved to have his head kicked in.
