It is god if they get angry about it. They might get angry enough to bring some numbers, maybe even similar to te cove. I love a match with 2 sides banter. "I know you are but what am I" doesn't count as banter.

They weren't part of the squadron, they were jets supporters. I have only followed since the Newcastle Breakers days. But i understand there was a newcastle team before that named KB United??? Im sorry that is about as much info as i know They weren't part of the squadron, they were jets supporters. There you go - another difference between us and them. All mariners supporters are classed as marinators, it doesn't matter if you sit in the bay or not. We are all inclusive. Newieutd - Feel free to tell those Jet's supporters to wear yellow on Sunday. i am a mariners supporter but not a marinator. quite a few people arnt

Good to see everyone is firing up for this one.
I have to congrats. Non true-blue Aussie McKinna. As some lads like to call him from the coast that i know lol. I think the comment he made was a smart one. Get the Jets fans offside and get them to travel down to scumford. I agree in the past we haven't be down there in huge numbers but we still make some noise and have some fun. No way you lot bring 1500 as he said in the article. Ill gives ya 500-600. Them bays in EAS in new stand hold 500 each. Anyways. hopefully we will have some good numbers down there. We had some alright numbers in Sydney but should be a lot more traveling down. It will be great for some banter like we have with the SCC lads on Saturday. Just hope people form both sides remember game lasts for 90mins, no shit is need after it. Had a few peckerheads on Saturday night in Sydney, but it all got sorted lol.
To answer the Yellow Shirt thing. They were a local socceer team on a end of season trip. They were all wearing KB UNITED shirts. KB United was a very successfull team that played back in 1980's. As Andy said. You get alot of people that dont want to know as Squadron or marinators, just simply know as Jets or Mariners fans. I know alot of people that dont sit with the Squadron but are still members of ours and still call themselves as part of the Squadron. Everyone is invited to join us and be are welcome to called themselves as part of the Squadron, likewise for you lot i guess.
Anyway to the game. So for the third year running we wont get to see Andrew Durante and Nik Mrjda meet again. But thats probably a good thing for Mrjda lol. So Mrdja vidmar and Wilko are only ones out for you lot? Durante, Eags and Deans are out for us. I cant see Drovandi getting selected hopefully sames as Elrich. Dont know why he is playing for us. He is farking shit.

So Mrdja vidmar and Wilko are only ones out for you lot? Mrdja is a chance of getting a bench spot IIRC. Paul O'Grady is also out and i'm not to sure about Matty Osman. Hopefully he is fit and he can take the RB pushing Andrew Clark into his preferred role at CB. Now Hutcho has his say.

They weren't part of the squadron, they were jets supporters. I''ve spoken to supporters that don't like to call themselves Marinators. Mainly because they don't sit in Bay 16 and they don't like to sing. And then there are the non-Sqaudron vocal supporters behind the goals up at Enema Stadium who spend most of their focus hurling abuse at the Squadrunts! FIRED UP FARKIN!!!!!

So hope O'Grady is out sames with Osman. Basically your whole backline beside hef is out lol Maybe Jardel will get his first goal. OLE OMG if Spencer scored. Fark that would be awesome lol. Good to see they notice our away support on Saturday. Still needs to improve but.

it looks like timmy is farkin firing up with the amount of posts he has made on our forum if that sort of passion exists with the rest of the scummers we should be in for a hell of a match. now talking about football i reckon we should try a 4-1-4-1 because the current combination is no longer a winning one. it will enhance our strengths being usually solid defense a deep and talented midfield and the reason for 1 forward is that mori hasnt exactly set the world on fire. we need to play 4 back with heff cos i noticed last game that both adelaides goals were from our left hand side and one of them heff didnt pull back in time. the problem was heff was soundly beaten many times by burns and i dont know what bridge and griffiths are like. brown should concentrate on defensive duties these days and i believe he plays a lot better as a fullback. pondeljak needs to have a run and we should play 2 attackers off the bench. I also believe greg owens is a lot better than he is getting credit for and that he needs some game time. My formation is as follows:
--------------------------------Vukovic Brown/Osman-----Boogaard--------Clark---------Heffernan -------------------------------Jedinak Gumprecht-------Pondeljak-------Hutchinson------Kwasnik ------------------------------Petrovski
Bench: Trott--Porter--Owens/Brown--Mori/Mrdja

He is still recovering from shoulder surgery and his spot in the squad was taken by Damian Mori. No matter how decimated our back-line is, they'll still be good enough to stop Lardel from scoring.

Do you think the Squadrunts wonder why they are the most laughed at supporters group in the HAL??
They are fair game to have the piss taken out of them by other teams managers FFS.
There will be 100/150 tops and we will have lots of "but there were 1,000's of us around the ground" type bullshit.
There is a chant that is usually hurled at Chelsea by just about everyone and it is.......
"Your support is F*cking shit" (to the tune of "your supposed to be at home")
As for the 5/600 at EAS, does someone want to dust off the ticket sales numbers stats that get produced every time we hear this bollox.
For those of you from Newcastle, we call this maths. Here goes.
1 bay at EAS = 500 Mariners take 2.5 bays = 1,250 Another few hundred in posher seats = 1,500
Pretty soon you guys will be counting using fingers AND toes.

Hahaha, easily two and a half bays Timmy, and it will be more this season.
I think the primary reason you lot are laughted at so much is that 99% of you carry on like you are fully hardcore Lazio style ultras, (even having a banner calling yourselves "Squadron Ultra's" by way of a giant banner - and don't tell me it's taking the piss, I see NOTHING on that banner indicating so) but then profess to be casuals. Elite casuals in some cases.
You crap on about how you were the first team to ever break a fence...... sorry mate, we beat you by about a year and a half - Pre Season Cup, Season 1.
Your sucking up and desire to be like the South American element of Melbourne is pathetic, and believe me, there's many in Melbourne who look on you as a mere annoyance.
Many of your supporters condoning and wishing to use flares is despicable, and I can't wait until the day it causes you trouble.
You only have 2 chants, one of which you don't even start.
You have Jardel.
F*CKIN' FIRE THE FARK UP FARKIN'!!!! F*CK I HATE NEWCASTLE!!!!
*angry face*

Any word on Nik Mrdja? Is it possible to sign Mori beyond the 6 week contract?

Any word on Nik Mrdja? Is it possible to sign Mori beyond the 6 week contract? I'm pretty sure he was meant to start training yesterday in hope of getting a spot on the bench against Scum. Osman was also meant to resume training, and fingers-crossed he should be alright for Sunday. If there is an injured player in the squad, Mori would be able to stay. However, if Nik is fine, i'm not so sure he will remain here, especially because there are other clubs likely to be going after him.

Yeah yeah yeah, you can all laugh at Jardel, can't wait till he scores. HEHE. Does Mori get the bus to the ground from the pensioners village? I estimate this to be the most watched A-league game in Australia this year.

You crap on about how you were the first team to ever break a fence...... sorry mate, we beat you by about a year and a half - Pre Season Cup, Season 1. LOL. You whinge about the jets supporters being Ultras/casual and acting like Lazio supporters or whatever, then you try to out do them by saying "we beat you" when talking about breaking a fence. If you feel that strongly about those fans being Ultras etc. Let them be that way, let them get in trouble...... If they are being laughed at, they obviously dont care. Do you hate Newcastle enough that you wont have a beer with young Drew and myself Sunday?
