And they will be determined to kick his brothers ass ! i dont think simon will want to move over. he should be fired up as i hope he tries to assert his position beside aloisi in the starting lineup. so expect him to be trying his best

Felipe to miss Mariners clash October 19, 2007 - 5:29PM
Brazilian Felipe looks set to miss a second consecutive match for the Wellington Phoenix when they play A-League leaders Central Coast at the Westpac Stadium on Sunday.
Though coach Ricki Herbert will wait until the last minute to give his midfield ace all the chance to recover from his hamstring problem, it would be surprising if Felipe can take the field.
Felipe suffered a hamstring tear, which normally takes up to three or four weeks to heal, against Queensland a fortnight ago and missed last weekend's match against the Newcastle Jets.
"Felipe's probably not in the frame at this stage," Herbert said.
"He's close but maybe not close enough. But we're reluctant to rule him out completely and he'll be given every opportunity to prove his fitness for Sunday's game."
Apart from Felipe, Herbert has a fit squad that has been bolstered by the return of their five All Whites, who also missed the match against the Jets.
Tim Brown, Jeremy Christie, Tony Lochhead, Mark Paston and Shane Smeltz joined the squad training after helping New Zealand beat Fiji 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier in Lautoka midweek.
Phoenix's marquee player Ahmad Elrich is in line for his run-on debut. The former Fulham and Socceroos midfielder impressed off the bench against the Jets.
"At this stage Ahmad will probably start for us," Herbert said.
"Will he go the distance? Probably not, but his impact initially could be good for us."
An early impact is what the Phoenix need. They tend to concede goals early.
"We've focused on what we need to do and what we need to better. You could go from the team at the top to the team at the bottom and they're all bloody tough, but we can be better.
"The last two weeks we haven't quite got into the swing of things. We're a very good attacking side - probably the equal of anyone in the league - and goals for (12) certainly reflect that.
"It has been worrying that we've had the tendency to start slowly and we've been punished for that. We've expressed our concerns about that and the need for players to take a personal responsibility for things, be it picking players up and eliminating those `grey' areas in decision-making. We've touched on that and I'm pleased the intensity and desire from the players is there."
The Phoenix have yet to score against the Central Coast Mariners.
They were beaten 0-3 in round two at Gosford in August and lost the Pre-Season Cup match 0-2.
But with All Whites striker Smeltz in hot goal-scoring form, the Phoenix could upset the league leaders.
Smeltz has scored four goals in the league this season and found the net as well for the All Whites against Fiji.
He shares the top scoring spot with Adelaide United's Bruce Djite and Sydney's Alex Brosque at present.
"Shane's in very good form; he's had five shots on target and he's converted four of them. We'll certainly need that sort of conversion rate on Sunday."
The Phoenix sit in seventh spot in the league but are just three points out of the top four. After Sunday's game they have three away games, against Adelaide, Perth and Queensland.
Phoenix squad: Mark Paston (gk), Jeremy Christie, Tony Lochhead, Cleberson, Karl Dodd, Tim Brown, Ross Aloisi (captain), Vaughan Coveny, Shane Smeltz, Michael Ferrante, Daniel, Richard Johnson, Steven Old, Steven O'Dor, George Paladini, Vince Lia, Ahmad Elrich, Glen Moss (gk), Felipe, Royce Brownlie (5 to be omitted).
Central Coast Mariners: Matthew Trott (gk), Matt Simon, Ian McAndrew, Andre Gumprecht, John Hutchinson, Dean Heffernan, Tom Pondeljak, Greg Owens, Tony Vidmar, Andrew Clark, Nigel Boogaard, Adam Kwasnik, Danny Vukovic (gk), Sasho Petrovski, Mile Jedinak.

No worries, happy to help - LIVE ON FOX SPORTS 2 (OK I'm not sure on that but that intense sporting announcer voice sounds better for the number two than for one and three)

does anyone know the state of Kwasnik atm? The paper said he's an outside chance to make the bench. I think we'll see him take a spot on the bench but whether or not he'll come on is a different story.

Lawrie said they'd take him I think, so he'll make the bench, if he's fit he'll get on.

If we need a goal expect him on for 10-15 mins, if not then Lawrie won't risk him.

And Petrovski misses the penalty, with Kwasnik on the field, can we stop this "they're only penalties" crap about Kwasnik now?

Yea, Sasho's not having one of his better games, why on earth did they give him the penalty after he had such a crap strike just minutes before. Not the worst penalty by a Mariner, that honour still belongs to Mr Mrdja for that dismal strike in season 1 pre-season.
