What's wrong with Boogs?
I'd say: Danny Clarky - Wilko/Boogs - Vidmar/Boogs - Heff Jedi Owens - Tommy - Gumps Simon - Aloisi
Subs - Hutch, Kwas/Brown, Porter, Trott
Depends on Boogs if he can play - hope he can - he was great. Cany always drop a defender and go with a back three... Was unimpressed with Hutch and Kwas, Owens was at times 'meh' - Gumpy deserves a recall tot the starting lineup to keep them revved up, unlie for the 60 minutes when we had fallen asleep.

Boogs was a doubt before today - he picked up a knock during the game, thigh I think?
In defence of Kwas this was his first game back and only started training on wednesday, he still wasn't 100%, he has a whole week now to rest and train so we should see a different Kwas on Saturday.
Owens was ok first half, I just wish he wouldn't shoot from everywhere all the time and be a little more patient in his play........great asset thou at times, he'll be up for playing against his old team mates.
We may even see Tommy go up front and Simon remain on the bench with Hutcho and Mile in the middle?
---------------------Danny Clark---------Wilko--------Vidmar-------Heff Ownes------Jedi----------Hutcho------Kwas ----------------Aloisi---------Tommy
Bench - Simon, Trott, Gumps, O'Grady/Porter?
I don't care who plays as long as they give 100%, we need to play better than today and if we do I'm confident we can pick up another 3 points.

Should be a great game next saturday. This will be the top of the table clash and we need to step up. No more playing like shit for 80 minutes out of the entire game. Porter had an awesome game today and some of his crosses were great, look forward to seeing more of him in coming games
My lineup assuming we are without Boogaard for next week
----------------------------Danny Porter-------Vidmar-----------Wilkinson---------Heffernan --------------------------Jedinak Owens----------------Pondeljak---------------Hutchinson --------------------Aloisi---------Kwasnik Bench: Trott, Simon, O Grady, Gumprecht With Boogaard, it would be Wilko moves right, Porter goes to the bench and O Grady is dropped. I would personally play Kwasnik ahd hutch a bit deeper in a 4-2-3-1 but judging by Lawries tactics this is what i reckon could happen, with perhaps small variations in the positioning between Pondeljak, Kwasnik and Hutchinson

At a guess one week out from the match....
----------------------Danny---------------------- Clark------------Wilkinson-----Vidmar------Heff Porter------------Jedinak----------------Kwasnik -------------------Pondeljak------------------------ ---------------Aloisi--------Hutchinson------------
Subs: Trott, Simon, Owens, Gumprecht
Owens to bench so Lawrie can put him on as either a forward or midfield (or at a pinch, RB). Hutchinson up front to hold for Aloisi, and Pondeljak to back them up.

If this is anything like the last game between these two clubs then it's going to be a cracker...... as it stands though, I honestly can't pick a winner. It all depends on which Adelaide turns up - if it's the one that played against QLD, then we'll do them 2 or 3-0, but if it's the one that played us last time, then I can see a highly entertaining draw, and possibly high scoring, with the likelihood of a late winner from either team.
If I'm not mistaken this is also our first ever 5pm game on a Saturday?? Crowd figure will be most interesting.

Olyroos call ups disrupt Reds By Val Migliaccio November 06, 2007 AUSTRALIA Olympic team duty has scuttled Adelaide United's preparation for its must-win clash against Central Coast Mariners at Gosford on Saturday night.
Adelaide needs to beat the Mariners or face the rest of the season playing catch-up with the leader three points ahead of United.
Adelaide's Nathan Burns, Kristian Sarkies and recalled Dez Giraldi reported for national duty on Monday.
The trio will rejoin Adelaide on Thursday.
Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar is now deprived of three important first XI players to an Olyroos training camp in Sydney - outside of FIFA's coordinated international calendar dates which is supposed to eliminate club and country friction.
Vidmar, while uncomfortable with the loss of his offensive players, wouldn't load the gun in another country versus club debate.
"It's not ideal that they've been called in," Vidmar said.
"There's not much we can do about it.
"This one here (the camp) was sprung on us more or less at the last minute.
"We want to try to do the right thing also by the national coaches and make sure they do prepare well and obviously qualify."
FIFA put the calendar in place to help clubs with international players in 2002.
The players must be released by their clubs four or five days prior to international matches.
The Olyroos face Iraq on November 17 in Gosford but Australian Under-23's coach Graham Arnold has called in his troops for a pre-camp.
Adelaide is also set to lose Burns, Sarkies and Giraldi for two home A-League matches while the Olyroos face Iraq and North Korea (away), which could prove to be crucial to the side's premiership chances.
"It's not every day you play for your national team," Vidmar said.
"When the opportunity presents itself you've got to take it.
"We could have had five out with Robbie Cornthwaite and Bruce Djite not being injured."
Adelaide faces Newcastle Jets and Perth Glory while the Adelaide trio kit up for the national team.
But Vidmar is hoping that the Football Federation of Australia will review the calendar conflict in time for next season with Adelaide set to lose its young guns to AFC FIFA World Cup duty next year.
"We're going to have to look at that," Vidmar said.
"We'll need to sit down again.
"What it basically comes down to is communication from all parties.
"So everyone knows exactly what's going on.
"No one likes their players missing, especially during the season."
Adelaide, however, is not the only A-League club to lose its stars for the Olyroos' camp.
Cellar-dweller Perth Glory has been hit the hardest with five Olyroos called into Sydney, followed by Newcastle Jets (three), Central Coast (three), Sydney FC (two) and Melbourne (one).
Wellington and Queensland Roar squads are free from calls for Olyroo duty.

I said it before this weeks game that I have a good feeling about Melbourne at home and Adelaide at home...............if the way we won on Sunday didn't give the team a much needed spark I don't know what will!

Isn't it always the way. Three called up disrupt Adelaide, but no excuses for three called up from CCM. Bloody media.

"Adelaide needs to beat the Mariners or face the rest of the season playing catch-up with the leader three points ahead of United. " If we beat them they would be 6points behind this would be huge espessially if the scum suffer from a bit of new coach curse. If i've got it worked out there goal dif is one better then ours atm so lets put 3 or 4 on them and get ourselves an extra advantage. Does that say cornflake and shitte are injured? And going to miss our match or just miss the oly roo training? I believe costanzo and sally are out with injury's and suspension as well

Strange - I thought the Terror had decided to support the Mariners at one point ..silly paper They still claim to. In today's, above the Central Coast sport section, there's a banner proclaiming the Terror as the official paper of the Mariners. Below it is an article about... sailing
