11680 is also the figure on the A-League website. Not sure why Fox would have got it so wrong. Also as I was there live I would love to have known if Matty was off side. We sit down near there and I actually thought he was behind Aloisi... Now I must say I actually thought this was our best 90 mins all year. We played much better for longer periods of the game (well almost all of it) against very good opposition who make no doubt about it will be there at the end of the year when it matters. Aloisi's second was clinical... I'd say most strickers would not have got that in this league - they would have scoop it over. Matty - Best game he's had in the Yellow Felt sorry for Kwas - great airswing but on a hiding to nothing coming on after Matty played as well as he did. - Was a great turn by Aloisi... Midfield played well - Jedi just adds that bit extra... Oh well 6 points in front - lets hope for a draw in the tards game and a Nix win in the other..... Kwassy's air swing was caused by a deflection on the pass, no fault of his.

Then to Kwasy I apologise - can't say it looked like it in real time but maybe that was my angle...

Great game, about time we totally dominated and won. Hopefully this will shut up some of the criticism. It is becoming clear that our critical players (those we cannot do without) are Wilko, Jedi and Heff. No more injuries and we are odds on favourites.
Who will be the two strikers for next week? Will Hutch be back in the middle? Will Kwass get a start?
I am going fishing tomorrow morning (no phones, newspaper or tv until Fri. pm) enjoy the discussions.
Six points clear. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Then to Kwasy I apologise - can't say it looked like it in real time but maybe that was my angle... Don't worry, his second attempt a few minutes later was fairly ordinary.

A great win... one of the best games this season... Wilkinson was outstanding...as was Jedinak... Simon has a big career ahead of him... what a poor decision to give his goal offside... the second linesman in 2 weeks to show poor judgement. Adelaide are no easybeats, and the boys shoud be really proud of themselves... got too worry about Danny though.. he is just so good.. can we really expect him to stay around when europe comes calling as it surely must... still we're 6 points clear... its looking good... how does everyone feel about Urawa (maybe) at Bluetongue in 2009 the stuff that dreams are made of eh !!!!!!

Don't get too excited, this years Prems will be the ones to miss out when they realign who goes to Asia. I guess we will have to do it twice. No worries.

Simon goal should have scored. Miles onside and so was Aloisi. Then adelaide would have scored if cassio didnt do the biggest f*ck-up of the season. Still Fox and mainly Harper still cant give us a bloody compliment. what part of best defence and TOP OF THE LEAGUE don't you understand twat.

Farkin fantastic game. I'm struggling to pick a MOM can I give everyone half a point? If we play like that every week we'll win everything this season.

Re. Crowd figure - the reason I heard was that the fox guys "heard" the word "seven" rather than the word "eleven" and then refused to correct themselves, that's downright disgusting and not on and I think we deserve an apology from those two idiots, just looking around the stadium would have told you it's more than 7000, idiots, never miss a chance to slag off the Mariners hey Fox. I've emailed asking for an apology, missing 4000 people is pretty damn huge!

LOL @ the Newcastle fans jumping on the crowd-bashing bandwagon, it really is a last resort....especially when its WRONG! To be fair, most of them only have 6 fingers so not being able to count past 8000 is a bit reasonable Extra finger to make up for lack of brain.

What's the deal with football media, Fox - SBS (even when being kind to A-league), all seem to have a go at us. To Andy, Robbie, Mrs Football, Fozzie, and all the others. We are Top of the Table Top of the TTTTable Top of the TTTTable And its no fluke

Good right across the park today, the only time Adelaide looked like doing anything was when we gave them the ball, they were pretty useless otherwise. Wilko back is a big plus, he didn't put a foot wrong; Vidmar was quality and Heffernan took his defensive role seriously to negate Dodd. Danny was massive, totally imposing and some brilliant saves. Jedinak and Hutchinson oustanding and Aloisi is pure class. Pondeljaks most consistent game to date, didn't need his brilliance this week. I would rather see Gumps energy on the right over the languid Owens (how slow was he late on to hit a long ball to a whole stream of Mariners against one Adelaide defender!). Not sold yet on Matt Simon, he is a work in progess, the attempt to cross the ball with the outside of his right foot from the left was pretty embarassing. He has the first touch on a teflon frying pan but his enthusuiasm is amazing. His never say die for the second week led to a goal for us and what the f... was his goal disallowed for???

My MOM
Jedi massive caused the first goal, get takle short run perfect pass, strong all night controlled the centre of the park.
Wilko, agian massive at the back will soon be hard to keep him out of national squad.
Simon & Aloisi, both had huge games up front.
Tommy P & Tony V had their best matches for weeks. Maybe Tony V had to show his brother he still has what it takes.
I think Tommy P, plays better with Jedi along side him in the centre of the park.
