You would have to expect Owens and Tommy would be in doubt after being replaced injured last night.

we need to improve a 100% based on last nights performance... jets have been playing crap for a while so they might be due a better performance... i still think we will win

Looking forward to this one. We need to play more like we did against Adelaide and less like we played against Perth or Melbourne. I hope there are no more injuries from the Perth game. and btw does anyone know a good pub in scumland to go drinking before the game?

If Kwassy is injured he is doing himself no favors by playing unfit. He is not helping whatever injury he has.
If he is fit he needs to be convinced that he is "Kwasildinho the Unbeatable" and get on with it.
I think we saw enough last year of Gumps, Tommy and especially Clarky all at various times saying they were up for it and then letting themselves down by underperforming.
I guess it is a fine line that has to be trod.
I admire the loyalty and courage shown by all these players, but if they are not fit and attempt to play people start talking about them beeing "past it" and not re signing them.
I felt sorry for the strikers last night. After Tommy left, no service from midfield whatsoever. I hope we can field a fit midfield for the jest. Tommy: ? Jedi: Gone Owen: ? Gumps: ? Kwas: ? Could be grim. Could be time to give Smitta a run as AM.

Pretty sure owens was only subbed because lawrie wanted to try and play more defensive.Hope so anyway. Tommy's injury looked minor and at the time he was on we were 1nil up and loooked like it was going to be easy so i'm confident he was just being cautious. I'm worried bout heff and kwaz tho. definitly start porter if our injurys to the mid field are that bad. asuuming the worse NO JEDI/OWENS/KWAZ/TOMMY/GUMPS/whats the word on browny? .................DANNY............ CLARKY....WILKO....VIDMAR....HEFF ................STRINGERS............ .......PORTER.............HUTCH..... SIMON........ALOISI..........SASHO Trotty/browny/mcandrew/whoeva is most able out of the above^^^^ Wow Thyat is a devastated by unavailibiltys line up and it still looks scary

Parking in the streets around the ground is usually ok (if you dont mind a walk though).
I am sure that this will draw a very big crowd and getting there early for a park might be a good idea - as will be pre purchasing tickets. EAS ticketing is farked.

BTW is it possible to get a park in the car park outside the stadium...or is it full of the locals horse drawn caravans? Advice from a local...Full of Boganmobiles, and awful to get out of. Best bet is to park at the tennis club (either side although the closest side to the stadium is usually mostly empty), have a cheap ale in the Club with fellow Mariner fans and saunter across the paddock to the southern entrance. On the way back, by the time you get to your car, most of the boganmobiles will still be stuck trying to get onto the main road, while you'd have clear run south via the Gully Line traffic lights. The bonus is that on the walk from the stadium to the car you get plenty of opportunity to rub the scum fans nose in it when we leave with three points. ;D

Just as a heads up for those travelling by train to Newc, trains to/from Sydney will be travelling via the North Shore line due to trackwork. Add on approx 30mins travelling time

Just read in the paper Owens is 50/50. Tommy is out. No idea on the others.
Also said that the club is hoping Mile accept new contract offered to him this week.

I was feeling very confident about this 1, now, after sunday's game and a few injuries I'm getting worried, we still have quite a few options thou.
Assuming Tommy is out I guess we are looking at :
-------------------------Danny Clark/Porter----Boogs----Wilko--------Vidmar Kwas------------Hutcho------Owens-------Heff -------------------Aloisi--------Sasho
Bench - Trott, Clark/Porter, Simon and Gumps?
Conern with that is Vidmar's pace against Griffiths, we need Heff at LB IMO. Kwas would work better with him on the left, not many other options there.
Boogs will be back in contention hopefully, defensively we should be ok, but that plug in the middle called Jedinak will be a major loss. Hutcho will have that work to do, if Owens is fit he will need to provide the spark that Tommy delivers, if not then Gumps may win his spot back if fit?
I was disappointed with our performace on Sunday, the boys have to lift for this weekend or it could end in tears!
We need to use our wings more, the long ball game is frustrating me!
