I purchased the tickets for those on the bus today and there was f*** all sold in the away bay maybe 20 when we purchased 50.The walk up will be in line for ages as its notoriously slow. If its bad weather the crowd will be well down.

I think the scummers are giving up on the jest, even they're forum is a ghost town. Maybe they're realising they've got a one man (whose a complete wanker) team and they're "marquee" is the Stay Puft Jardello Man.

I got my tickets online at lunchtime today which was 120 and 121 if the numbers mean anything.
Losing Tommy is a huge blow. He is the starting point for so many good attacking movements and has such a positive influence, we'll miss his creativity.
Jedi is fast becoming our most important player like Vinnie is for the Socceroos so he's also a big loss. However our depth is excellent and I really feel we'll come away with the points.
I believe Sydney will get over the Roar at home, so if we win this we'll be seven clear of second spot and no team will catch us from there. That's how important this game is. Win this one we are are moving very close to the major semi.
How good would a home major semi be in front of a sell out crowd and a win for a home GF? Sorry, I shouldn't be thinking that far ahead but it's just too good not to dream about it! Only seven games left after this round, it's not that far away when you think about it.

Unfortunately even if we win the right to host I cant see us hosting the GF. Theyll move it to Aussie or Telstra fro revenue.
Other than that Im with you , this weekend is massive

Other than that Im with you , this weekend is massive Fish, surely they wouldn't would they? What would happen if for instance we played Sydney and won the right to host the GF? They couldn't possibly move it to Sydney. There would be mutiny and the controversy would be huge. The HAL would be a laughing stock. Although, at the end of the day, the FFA can play the GF wherever they chose as they have control of the finals series. So maybe you're right. You're close to the club, has this been discussed by Lyall and friends?

More realistic than inside info mate.
We have a capacity of 20,000 and the revenue from that for the FFA would not be overly exciting would it.The finals are all about money as the FFA have complete control over them. The home ground advantage obviously would be an issue but to allow thousands of more of our fans to see the game I wouldnt be to upset about , well maybe for a month or so but Id get over it if we won.

I think if we get the home GF it will be played at Telstra. All of the NSW teams will host any home GF there IMO, until they build a new, 60k seat, purpose built, football stadium for the 2018 world cup bid.

Moving it to the SFS would work for me, I have tickets to the cricket (Aus vs India) for the same day at the SCG. Though, if it is at Bluetongue I know where I'll be

I full well understand the economics of it all, but to have to give up home ground advantage is totally unacceptable and unreasonable.
First team in the GF should host the GF at their traditional home ground no matter the capacity. I don't care what the crowd could be at Telstra or anywhere else. Moving it away from your home is totally forfeiting any advantage you may have.
I know at the end of the day we won't have a choice, but bloody hell, there'll be one hell of a fight from our front office, I'm sure.
Sorry, I know this is moving way off topic.

IF that were to happen, I would think that the vast majority of tickets would only be available through the central coast ticketek outlets. I'm sure you'd still lose some numbers, but I'm sure there still would be a 'home ground advantage'.
Still, it could be a touch demoralising to be forced to play what's effectively YOUR final on somebody else's turf - for us, especially Sydney, considering what's happened in the past! It could seem like another way that the FFA are saying 'Sydney are better than you'.

Unfortunately even if we win the right to host I cant see us hosting the GF. Theyll move it to Aussie or Telstra fro revenue. Funny you mentioned that Fish, I had that scenario as one of my left field predictions for this season. If we win the right to the GF, I can see a lot of pressure put on the club to fight to hold it at Bluetongue. And while the FFA is the host of the GF, what type of message would be conveyed to the people of the Central Coast if a move was to happen? * That the FFA would like us to embrace the team, and the HAL, but not to the detriment of the FFA getting some bigger $$? * That the Mariners can embody themselves within the Central Coast community, except for their biggest day of their history? * That the FFA expects the supporters of the Central Coast Mariners to travel to another region of NSW for the big day, but would give concessions to the likes of Adelaide or Newcastle hosting a GF at their stadiums despite the modest capacities? I have a foot in both camps, but if the Mariners and the FFA don't handle the issue with a deal of sensitivity (should it happen), then moving the GF to another stadium could set back the Mariners' efforts to entrench themselves within the Central Coast community quite a bit.

the FFA should announce at the beginning of the season where the Grand Final should be played. Much as I love and admire the Mariners the Bluetongue is not the right stadium for a Grand Final, and nor is Hindmarsh or wherever Perth play. Only Telstra Stadium, Telstra Dome and Suncorp are up to the required standard.

No FFA pressure in V1 to move the GF away from the SFS. Back on topic, 50/50 as if I will be there..I don't know the why or the where fors but for some reason Football this season for me is in, I follow the results only basket

Ah, you can add the following: Subiaco Oval (43k capacity) Football Park (55k) QE II (60k) SFS (43k) Canberra Stadium (40k) Adelaide Oval (40k) The 'Gabba (40k) What about the Mecca of Australian Sports, the Triple MMMCG, 100k? It has drop-in pitches and could easily be setup for an HAL GF. If we happen to get host rights, assuming that Perth or Wellington are not our opponents, I believe we will play at the SFS, OR, if we play the Bling, Stadium Australia. The idea of us OWNING the Cove End at the SFS for an HAL GF is very appealing.

Prediction for tomorrow 1-1 - I just cant see us winning 5 in a row and I just know we will beat Sydney week! ;D
As for the GF, in the old NSL days the GF had to be held in the state capital city, so when the Gong hosted South Melb they held it at Parra Stadium - are we still in those dark days or does winning the league still not count for everything in Australia? If you look at the NRL & AFL everybody knows where the games are going to held before a ball is kicked / bounced, however 2 interstate teams playing in ADL or PER would result in a ghost town and the FFA / HAL would have taken a hugh step backwards! I think that IF we get to host the GF it should be at CCS with 20% - 25% of tickets held back for the opposition as what happen to us in V1 can not be allowed to happened again, even if it means some of our blowin supporters miss out.
