Being a youngster, I wonder how he's going to handle the boos and abuse he's going to cop when he plays us........ Nah, he'll handle that OK... What might unnerve him is the occassional Marinator seeing him around the Coast doing his private business and having a go at him whenever, or wherever, the opportunity might arise. Not that I'm advocating violence or stalking him, but a decent display of "piss off scum, buy your XXX in f**king Newcastle" - followed by a refusal to serve the little sh*t - might set him back a bit - for those in a position to do so, obviously..  |

Can you imagine the hide of someone training with one club in the morning and signing with their ABSOLUTE mortal enemies a couple of hours later? What a twisted, amoral little so-and-so this individual must be!!
Wouldn't he want to play for the Coast, given he is a Coastie? What is going on in his head? Yeah, the Scum may offer more money now, but we will have several positions available in V4 and signing with the Mariners at this time must surely be an investment in his own future.
I do not understand Holland's actions and I will make sure he hears us the SECOND he runs on the park in early January. DJ's song "James Holland is a W___ker, he wears a W___ker's hat" will get the FULL treatment.
Oh yes, and Joel Griffiths should play for the Matildas!!!

Holland was going to sign for us but decided against it because he thought we had too much depth and competition for places................what does that say about:
1. His determination to fight for a place in the team he supports?
2. His opinions on the Newcastle players?
Goodbye Holland, you will never be welcome back at the Mariners and I hope you get f***ed over up at Newcastle like so many others do! The kid obviously wants to go overseas, I'd put money on the fact that Newcastle gave him a clause to walk if offered a contract overseas...........I look forward to seeing Mile destroy him on 12/01/2008!

Plus the departure of Musialik and Bridge, it would be very funny indeed to see them collect the wooden spoon in V4. Although they may invest in some "Braziliance" following the undoubted success of Drovandi and Lardel this year.  Let them have the f*cking little c*nt, because that doesn't change the fact that we are 5 points clear of them and have two games in hand. |

Did any of you think that maybe laurie invited him to your training session to maybe try and persuade him to join you guys? He obviously didn't like it so decided to join us instead. You are completely overreacting about the training thing but i would too be annoyed if a local went to join the enemy. But we did give him a chance up here and he delivered so in a way he is being loyal to GVE for actually giving him an opportunity.
However I do dectect alot of jealousy on this forum and you had alot of of positive things to say about him when you thought you had actually signed him. Only the poster Bearinator stayed true to his word so shame on the rest of you!

I couldn't care less he's gone to scum. At the end of the day he's joining in a club in complete turmoil who won't make the four. Listen to GVE's comments after the Sydney match and you'll see that he has a lot of self doubt about their chances. Sydney will overtake them.
He's made a very, very bad decision but he's hardly the first boy to do so. He's obviously received bad advice and time will tell how it affects his future.
At the end of the day we'll have the last laugh because we'll win the league and scum will be watching the finals on the tele so you all need not stress about it.
Some of the reaction has been ridiculous. Don't sweat the small stuff. Let's concentrate on winning the League. That's all that matters.

LOL no mate, the truth is what I posted, he didnt think he would get a start at the Mariners and thought his chances with Newcastle were greater! Holland trained with us because he intended to sign, once he spoke to Lawrie about his options Lawrie basically said do whatever you want.........so there was no attempt to try and persuade him to sign. |
