Gos 18A's lost to wyoming. Keensy was flown to royal north shore for urgent surgery on his head. he was kneed in the head when saving a goal while keeping. he has multiple skull fractures, fractured cheekbone, fractured eye socket, will probably need facial reconstruction. Hope to see him around soon. another gosford player was taken out in the first minute and couldn't play for his own 16a's team today. ref didn't pick up the hacking all game. It is wrong of you to suggest that this terrible injury was caused by referee inaction. Even if there was a foul in the first minute, it still doesn't mean there was a causal relationship to the later incident. It makes me sick that 22 young adult players, with wills, minds and consciences of their own are believed to be at the whim of some grand puppet master called a referee who pulls all their strings. Do not believe it for a minute. They know how to play fair and should be perfectly capable of controlling themselves. If they are not, the fault is their's. Referees are often left to deal only with consequences, and to credit them with some omnipotence in the matter of player behaviour is totally unrealistic. I suppose it does make good fodder for forums though. As it happened, the referee for the game is one of the most senior local referees. Someone I know who played in the game, and who is a very astute player and observer said it was a 50/50 situation with both goalkeeper and player challenging for the same ball. If this was the case, there is no blame to attach to anyone, and it is just one of those unfortunate injuries that happens. I am sure everyone wishes Keensy a quick recovery and his family and his team-mates all the best.

IMO she was saying that the referee was unable to pick up on all the other hacking during the game.

I think they are two seperate thoughts, that would have been more tactfully not mentioned together, but this is the round 16 ref bashing thread

and the ball wholly over the line leads to controversy in our match. Can I help it if in the absence of an assitant, the ref decides to take notice of my appeal? He didn't earlier on. Been called loads of things over the years but don't know if I've ever been called a cheat - well not that many times within a minute! First time I've been sledged on age too. Is it really showing that much Fish/Mick/Sacko? ... never mind! Better get the dye in this week before the Southern match to hide those half dozen grey ones. Still got the last laugh when the Woy Woy guy couldn't resist taking the argy bargy at a corner too far and saw a second yellow. Good ref that young bloke too! How crucial are the remaing three rounds and catch up games going to be in the AA5s?

Those catch up games have me a little worried, seeing as we're a game ahead.
Man, this comp's going to go down to the wire...stoked to see we're back in the top 4.
We've got Avoca, Berkely and Woy Woy to go.

There has been a stuff up on the tables by CCF. Last week your standings were 5 wins, 5 draws and 4 losses. So with your draw yesterday that makes on of the recent tables incorrect.

yep, without the other results, I couldn't speak for the positions of other teams, but Woy Woy were on 16pts last week and we were on 20. The CCF have obviously got the wrong result and have Woy Woy as getting the win and 3pts.

So what were all the AA5 results? Was SEU v TOUKEY 0-0? Looks like BV, Terr & Kin won. What are the remaining fixtures? Ourimbah's are Southern, Toukley, Gosford

ATM it looks like that Woy Woy has been given a 2-1 win. The results still haven't been uploaded on CCF.
