Has anyone been watching or following the Australian Open which started yesterday.
I watched bits and peices of Hewitt's, match today and he was very lucky to go onto the 2nd round, going down to 5 sets against someone who is ranked 50somethin in the world isnt really something the number 4 in the world should be doing but then saying that the guy Hewitt played put up a really good perfomance and should have put the game away at certian stages. But i still think Federer will go on to win

Hewitt's an arse I wish he lost, oh well Chela has made some upsets before.
My tip would be Roddick, Federer is nursing a bit of an injury so I don't think he could hold up to a full grand-slam, the dark horse is probably Nalbandian.
I'm closely watching the progress of Nathan Healy, from Gosford. He won his first round match against 29th seed Volandri, in on a wildcard, I think he'll get past the next round too and has the chance to meet Federer in the 1/4 finals. He's also got a wildcard into the Doubles as well with Chris Guccione, both are fairly good doubles players so I'm keen to see how they go.
Men's Singles: Andy Roddick USA (2) Women's Singles: Anastasia Myskina RUS (12) or Amelie Mauresmo FRA (3) Men's Doubles: Bjorkman SWE/Mirnyi BLR (2) (Aussie tip is Arthurs & Huss seeded 9th) Women's Doubles: Raymond USA/Stosur AUS (1) Haven't seen the Mixed Doubles draw yet, but Black & Black ZIM are always hard to beat, Stubbs or Stosur could do well for Ausralia depending on which bloke they're partnered with.

Lleyton Hewitt is the worlds biggest peanut, I was so excited when Vik was serving for the match, pity he couldn't close it out..
Martina Hingis a smoky to win the women's, and Tommy Haas the value bet in the men's..

I wouldn't be so sure on Hingis, she'll do it tough, she's got Pierce in the quarter final, but it would be nice to see a Wildcard perforom at the oz open for a change.

My favourite Sharapova is on at 7:30 tonight, anyone who doesn't rate her needs to accept it's no coincidence they put her on at prime time! Unlike me most of you are too old and/or short for her anyway...hehe I'll keep dreaming!

Keep an eye out for Maria Kirilenko. She plays Lindsay Davenport in Round 3.
