Saw the goals - 2nd was the better of them, 3rd was very much a goal mouth scramble! Archie missed an open goal after rounding the keeper lol

Hello all, back again. It's becoming too easy for us to reach these finals. Glad you are interested in semi final showing. I already asked Ben from the Mariners, he has assured me that a copy will be here before the week is out. Will give final confirmation Friday. We will be opened at 3.30pm in the Kendal. I was thinking we could show it around 4.00pm. I will discuss with Mick. So you can take away the cryers Rowdy. Happy to oblige. I also will need a new point of contact on match days, now that Micks a radio star. It will involve collecting raffle prizes from me, and pre and post match contact with any queries. I was talking to one of you lads last match, just forgot who about it (sorry) Happy with him if everyone else is. Any thing else please let me know.

I'd say that was me you spoke to, I'm happy to have that role. Will introduce you on Saturday to a couple of others that will also be suitable for when I'm not available.

How was everyone at the Kendall last night? I had absolutely no problems with anyone at CCLC, and I thought it great that they opened the Kendall earlier for us, and put on the tape of the Mariners-Victory match. I feel I am often too quick to complain, so I thought I'd just balance any past criticism with a thumbs up for Charles and CCLC last night. (Oh and I even won on the pokies too!). Good atmosphere post match in the Kendall, and our singing didn't seem to bother anyone this time round.

Yes the CCLC was excellent, I dont know of a single problem.
Myself, Golden Boy, Bronze Boy, Adz and a few others were booted later on (from the sports bar not the kendall). I was pretty straight so had a chat with the guy who was for once good enough to talk to me like an adult about it. We'd been singing the 'Here's to xxx he's true blue..." song where you scull beers. He made the point a few times that they didnt care about the singing (so they've obviously been told to let that go = very good) but because we were playing drinking games/sculling beers he booted our whole table of about 9. Fair enough I guess.

How did Bronze Boy survive? He was GOOOOOOOONE very early.
Congrats to GB who avoided the evil Svetlana Vodka and James B Beam to put in a great performance.

They were great, even one of the guys getting into the chants!
Poor Bronze Boy - does he have any idea what we did to him?

No probs in the Leagues Club at all, although I still detected a few staff that seemed a little puzzled or nervous about all the pre/post game fuss.
They even honoured the request to turn off the thuggery league on TV for the Wallabies!
I read with interest the Sunday papers where some ARL players were complaining about trigger-happy CCLC security!
Seems it is an issue for the Club that is not restricted to our football.

Being Willie Mason he probably deserved to be booted. There was one particular security guard (shorter, dar) who was very very friendly and asked for things to be done nicely, like for people to move back in the Kendall Bar. It is amazing how people are more cooperative when you talk to them nicely.

It is amazing how people are more cooperative when you talk to them nicely. Too simplistic Mick. I see your point, but you could read into that, that you are suggesting my wife deserved her treatment because she didn't 'talk nicely' to the security guard. She never provoked the reaction she got. Sometimes showing anger (in a non-violent way) is equally valid for getting your point across.

Semi-related, from my various experience with the security there, if they have an issue with, as soon as you raise your voice or basically start your sentence with anything other than "Now I'm not arguing your decision, I just want to ask/say..." they write you off as too drunk to bother listening to. Which can then lead to further more intense frustration.
