Most of the Marinators banners were 'outsourced' (made professionally for a fee).
The inhouse ones, Jimmy has made a few of the better ones, perm and I have done a couple of amateurish ones and fish and dj and numerous others (sorry to not mention names) have chipped in as well as a few others you see floating around.
We're behind the other groups in this department, there's never really been any major organised days for it, and nothing too fancy produced. I think everyone is aware that our game needs to be lifted and the organised structure not to mention the knowhow of northernspirit will really help this.

We've had countless threads where people start with an idea then others chip in and soon enough you have 40 ideas for banners and 20 links to pictures or youtubes of great tifos and displays.
What we need is either or both of
a) An overall strategy - a direction we want to take the bay in. We want it to look like this, that or the other. We want to look South American, or Greek, or combine certain elements, or whatever. Build from there piece by piece to make it happen.
b) Focus on one project at a time. Say for example we want a few player banners. Work together to come up with a few slogans and pictures that everyone likes and bannner away.

Agreed, something horribly insulting to be draped across the seats at the front of our bay at EAS (where Fox will pick it up).
I'm sure we can be more creative than FTM...........

if that flag is done i cant wait for the squadron trolls to start their bitching because they had a rising sun flag first.

quality....nothing but the best^^^^^^^ but maybe "..on the underpants of the A-league" OR "the underpants of Australia/NSW" would suit better for its purpose

I have been thinking of a "No fly zone" for the jesters
corrupting one of the jets from there logo so it's pointing downwards and possibly in flames.
Maybe do something convic themed for the blingers.

May I suggest that if you do a rising sun, you model it on the AIF one on our army's hat badge, not on one that resembles the wartime Japanese on!

Che was a hero Also the best part of that away trip was when they showed the "bogan free zone" banner. Loved it and it certainly annoyed the scummers and runts.

What about a standard for each player?? My girlfriend and I are going to get around to making a "Captain Wilko" banner - basically Captain Planets body with Wilko's head and number on the chest kinda deal...... dorky I know, but funny considering that song was sung for him multiple times (I do believe Tiger gave it the first ever spin).
Maybe if we put up a list of the players and people either volunteer to make one per player, or come up with a whole bunch of ideas from which people can pick??
