On 104.5 on the 3 news it said that he has injured his shoulders, chipped his teeth, hurt his back and invertibrae. It happened in Tumbi umbi as well.

I came across this accident at 2am on Monday...police fire and ambulance were all there and it wasn't looking good and the road was completely closed. i wondered why i hadn't heard anything in the news about it, but it's a relief to hear it wasn't as bad as it appeared.
it had been raining heavily so driving conditions were not ideal.

Yea Monday was a hell of a day for anyone driving, and I can understand a release being held off because the las thing you want is him being pestered or a media frenzy.
Prayers for Stringers and his family.

He was in the car for 2 hours before anyone got to him. I know that Clarkey has been in there and he reckons he'll be OK but his face/teeth was pretty bad, chest, head and neck beaten up a bit. Probably a lengthy recovery for him but let's hope it doesn't affect the next season too much.

The most important is that he's not seriously injured.....

Indeed Omni! 'On 104.5 on the 3 news it said that he has injured his shoulders, chipped his teeth, hurt his back and invertibrae.' So have these been confirmed? Or is that sad excuse for a radio station making stuff up? Either way, my best wishes to Paul and his family, I hope he recovers quickly and is back to 100% soon and that all family and friends are doing okay too.

Paul was let out of hospital yesterday (saturday) and is going home to Sydney to stay with his family for some well deserved rest. It's true he punctured his lung and fractured a vertibrae. Doctors have assured him he'll make a full recovery.

Vertebra - singular Vertebrae - plural invertibrae - no comment. Pedants rule ok.
