He will come into the squad for Paul O'Grady, who needs at least another 6 weeks. Mrjda, Mori, Petrovski. Easily the best strike force in the league! plus kwasnik and heff ironic trivia department - last year o'grady was the player we wanted to replace with mori, and the new rules let us this year when last year they didn't! ;D

i reckon we should try and keep him permanently in some capacity at the mariners whether it be player or when he retires some form of coaching role eg perhaps the youth league when it starts up

lets hope he can find some form, but i have complete confidence in him. i wonder if he will be playing in the a league at age 50 Won't need to 'find' form. He was captain/coach of another successful season in Adelaide with City. www.ffsa.com.au/default_senior.asp?ItemID=399&rcid=81&pcid=72&cid=81He finished the season league top scorer again, with Carl Veart netting 7 in the same team. The team ran away with the comp and only lost once. He also scored in the cup final, which they won 1-0. What a curler! www.footballnews.com.au/gallery/v/2007cupfinal/moriscores.flv.htmlAs far as I can tell, the last game of their season was 2 weeks ago, so he's had one week off to rest the legs and should be ready to fire at A-League pace! The other teams who DON'T have Nik and Sash and desperately need a real finisher will be envious...

Will be interesting to see how he goes, he isnt getting any younger but hopefully he can keep finishing like he did when he was here last year. but it is interesting that we have signed him, maybe Mrdja might be out longer than we expect

i thought mori was covering for o grady which means that lawrie might just wanna add some extra strength to our strike force so its hard to tell with mrdja. but if its true that mrdja might have a long term injury i feel really bad for him.

well i guess there are now 2 annual traditions for the mariners: the new years eve home game and the yearly signing of damian mori as a short term cover

Hmm, it never rains but it pours..... Time for Mr Simons to step up to the plate perhaps Sorry to pick on you T, because others do it, but it's SIMON not SIMONS. I understand its Simon not Simons but isn't it a similar thing to Boogs eg. Mr boog has stepped up or Mr Boogs has stepped up. It just sounds right time for Mr Simons to stand up/time for Mr simon to stand up. Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to correct anyone on English(i couldn't) but i think Simons is just used as a form of nickname.

Yep well Porter is next on my list and could take sash or owens spot depending on the injury issues. He is also handy in and attacking role.

Where is Browny in your team Eggy?
I don't think I've ever heard of Simons being a nickname for someone called Simon. I think it gets mucked up because Simons or Symonds is more common than just Simon.
My prediction if Sash is injured:
Danny
Ossie Boogs Clark Heff
- - - -- Jedi Gumps Hutch Brown
Mori Kwasaldinho
Trott Owens Tommy Simon
If Sasho is fit, Brown to bench, Kwas to left mid, Sash with Mori, and Owens dropped off.
