Where is Browny in your team Eggy? I don't think I've ever heard of Simons being a nickname for someone called Simon. I think it gets mucked up because Simons or Symonds is more common than just Simon. My prediction if Sash is injured: Danny Ossie Boogs Clark Heff - - - -- Jedi Gumps Hutch Brown Mori Kwasaldinho Trott Owens Tommy Simon If Sasho is fit, Brown to bench, Kwas to left mid, Sash with Mori, and Owens dropped off. I'd like to have him there don't get me wrong but somebody's gotta miss out i think this is a great opportunity to have a run with Simon. We don't need Kwaz up front he can carve up from the midfield. I think even if Sash is fit give him a rest or at least bench him.If Owens is fit I'd like to see him first hand see what he's got to offer but I'm really not that fussed with him as yet so browny can have his spot if Owens not ready to play yet. Pretty much that line up is based on Simon getting the run up front If that pos goes to kwaz then brown would be in my team. Nickname might have been the wrong word I just think simons rolls of the tongue a bit easier maybe its just laziness.

Browny has been going great guns this season when he has played. Deserves a spot. He would have one already if Kwas wasnt in so much form.

If they decide to put kwaz up front and leave off simon then yes browny would've got his spot I think this is the perfect game to start Simon tho.

------------------vuko---------------- Osman---Clark---Boogs---Heffo -----------------Jedi--------------- Gumps-------Hutch-------Browny ------Mori------Kwassie
Bench Trott,Tommy P,Simon,Owens (drop simon if sasho fit) Hard to choose out of browny, gumps and Tommy p who too leave out of the starting 11.

Without Sasho Petrovski
...................Danny Osman...Boogard...Clark...Heff Gumps...Jedi...Hutch...Kwassy ..............Mori...Sasho
Trott Porter Brown Simon
Without Sasho Petrovski
...................Danny Osman...Boogard...Clark...Heff Gumps...Jedi...Hutch...Brown ..............Mori...Kwassy
Trott Porter Owens Simon
I really think we can dominate them for 90 minutes with that squad. I'm predicting a 4-0 result with or without Sasho Petrovski. 2 goals for Damien Mori, 1 for Kwassy and 1 for Sasho if he plays, if not then 2 for Kwassy.
Hopefully when get a good crowd as well tomorrow. In the position we are in, anything under 10,000 with good weather will be a disappointment IMO.

Just found this pic guys. I know it was in another thread about the emo numbers at home games, but I cant understand why we can look this good in Newcastle, yet not as good at home... We NEED to be looking at this standard of color at EVERY home game. Lets get in the yellow tomorrow, not black, if any of you life hating wrist cutting pricks are reading this, and support OUR team

Yellow gets better as the season warms up (temperature wise) Most don't have 'yellow' coats to wear when its cold so you'll see lots of yellow today I rekon.
Bear, we look that good away because emos don't travel

We'd better look good today. I'm bringing my new High Definition camcorder to film a few clips! ;D I've got plans to make a 'Mariners Celebration' video - all in HD of course, for those who have the kit!

The guy i worked with yesterday is good mates with Simon he gave him asked if he was getting a start and disappointingly he's said he's not even on the bench! Apparently Sash trained yesterday morning and got thru it alrite so he's starting. So with this info my new team would be: ---------------DANNY----------- -OZZY--CLARKY---BOOGS-----HEFF ----------------JEDI------------------ GUMPS-----HUTCHO---KWAZ-- ----------SASH--------MORI Bench---TROTT---TOMMY P----BROWNY--OWENS/PORTER(depends owens fitness)

I reckon Kwassi will be switching sides (left to right wing ), and that Mori and Sasho will be up front.

I reckon Kwassi will be switching sides (left to right wing ), and that Mori and Sasho will be up front. That would mean that Gumprecht would make way for Brown to come into the starting XI wouldn't it? This is potentially such a massive game now after the rest of the round being played already. The chance to go four point clear at the top of the table and 8 points clear of 4th place. at this stage of the season, would be massive.

Anyone got some theories on why all the other forums have threads on the other 3 games this week but nothing on ours against Perth today???

Anyone got some theories on why all the other forums have threads on the other 3 games this week but nothing on ours against Perth today??? Some of the forums, in particular the Scum and Bling ones, don't usually start the game thread to other games until the game starts. I think that could be the possible reason.

WE are top of the league say we are top of the league. Not our greatest performance, a bit rocky in places a few players fading in and out of the game but a win is a win. 4 points infront bloody beautiful.

TBH we were shit today. Tactics were very poor (lumping high balls up against their tall defenders).
However, good sides win when they play badly and WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE :-)
I thought Hutcho and Jedi were great, Hutcho in particular is working really hard and I take back everything I said about him at the end of last season.
Andre changed the game when he came on, all of sudden we played the thing on the pitch not 20 feet above it.

yeah shit game, un-inspiring stuff from the mariners, hopefully we will start pulling bigger crowds as this would really spur them on, still... a win is a win... 4 points in front, so even a loss against the commies next week and we are still top of the league

Yep, would have been VERY disappointing not to get a win from that match, but as it unfolded it didn't look out of the question.
I'm hoping a return to a more familiar starting line-up will restore some confidence
