WIKIPEDIA SPEAKS THE TRUTH!!!! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joel_Griffiths"Joel Griffiths (born August 21, 1979) is an Australian football (soccer) player. A right sided attacking midfielder, he currently plays for Newcastle United Jets in his native Australia. He made this transfer on July 31st 2006 for an undisclosed fee after a brief spell in England with Leeds United, having signed from Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax on January 17, 2006. He only managed two substitute appearances for Leeds, it is rumored that he did not have a good relationship with the manager at Leeds.[citation needed] His previous clubs were Sydney United, Parramatta Power and Newcastle United in the now defunct NSL. He represented Australia at the FIFA World Youth Championship in Nigeria in 1999. Griffiths made his debut for the full national team on October 9, 2005 against Jamaica, scoring a goal before celebrating by hopping up and down like a Kangaroo. This was Australia's final warm up match before their World Cup qualifier playoff match against Uruguay. Many suggest that Joel would have played in this famous match had it not been for his falling out with the Leeds manager, which cost him match time.[citation needed] This also impacted on his chances of playing in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, which Australia qualified for after beating Uruguay on penalties.[citation needed] His twin brother Adam also plays for the Newcastle Jets. In a recent derby against the Central Coast Mariners, this oxygen thieving piece of shit proved what a low life scummer he really is by punching an assistant referee in the groin, after a decision did not go his way. No further action was taken by Uncle Frank and the spineless dicks at the FFA. Joel Griffiths continued existence in this Universe serves to prove the fact that there is no justice in the world. Griffiths will be punched in the balls by many people in the future, so that they may have an opportunity to get off scot free, whilst at the same time yelling "like that, bitch?" in his face. Joel Griffiths currently resides in Dickheadville, Scumtown. He breathes coal dust on a daily basis, which has clearly already addled his feeble brain and his possession of a Squadron scarf only continues to serve as proof, that he is a dickhead."

*looks around shiftily* I was angry about him not receiving any sort of punishment from the FFA, so I took it out on Wikipedia. No less than he deserves might I add.

FFA had said its a none issue. So lets move on. It's strange that you want all of this forgotten but whenever Nik Mrdja is the topic of convrsation, all you scum fans can talk about is that tackle on durante over 2 f*cking years ago.

The FFA should be suspended for bringing the game into disrepute by their lack of action. To say their hands were tied is a cop out. Soccer has returned.

Earlier comment about what would happen if an EPL player punched an AR in the goolies.
The club could well be in trouble and that excrement would get at least 6 weeks.

So rather than all this "the FFA should do something about this" bullshit, why dont we do something???
Email the FFA, email 4-4-2, email our club and ask them to also email the FFA. We know its f***ed up, but do they know that we think its f***ed up??? And will they ever know if all we do is have a cry on the forum???
No

E-mail has been sent to the FFA, and will be sent to the others mentioned. ANYONE attacking at match Official be it Jets player or a Mariner player deserves a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

WAAAAAAH!

No I've been thinking about this and I think that we do need to do something, but ideally I think it would be better if we could take a more co-ordinated approach, here are the three ideas I have: 1) Have the Marinators club release an official statement condemning attacking of match officials. It would be good to try to convince all of the various supporter group to follow suit and ultimately even better if we could somehow manage to get a joint statement organised. Then sen it to the FFA and release a copy to the media ( I would guess that someone could talk to Mr Coonan about that). 2) Organise a petition online or otherwise, all teams other than QLD have home matches in the next two weeks so we could get general fans to add their support. 3) Draft a template email that we can all send to the various organisations. My preferred option is number 1. Although I wouldn't know how to go about organising it. I should point out that when I say condemning attacking of match officials, I do mean that it should be put in general terms and NOT signal out Joel Griffiths or the Sydney FC fans for their actions on the weekend. That will be evident in the subtext of the statement and will also help garner support from other supporter groups who might otherwise see it as sour grapes or whatever. Thoughts?

In case your very young & don't know, it's the first time in 40 years of watching ANY top level pro sport in this country that I've seen anything of this nature let go without serious charges & very long suspension. I don't give a rats arse if it "was only light contact". What the fricken hell does it have to be?...........knock his block off? If it was league, afl or any other sport he would be facing well over a seasons ban. But it's football & it's ok eh? Excuse me timmy.....The bloody hide of you.......DON'T tell me to move on. How do we ever change the poor, poor record of football in this contry by saying what you just said. "the FFA said it's a non isssue"? well I'll be damned.........I'd better kiss their arse, bow my head & take all they say as absolute gospel. What he did was wrong, but it all done now. Lets move on.

PM the leaders of the marinators club and work your contacts in other supporters groups. if you want to have a petition it can be done pre-game in kendall bar next week as i believe one on paper with signatures on it is better than an online one where u could add random names that cant be verified

Make that a permenant stint on the sidelines. From the terrorgraph: But NSW Soccer Referees Incorporated - which oversees the development of whistleblowers at grassroots level - was disappointed at the outcome. "Our job attracting and keeping match officials is hard enough as it is,'' secretary Ron Beaumont said. "We need a lot of help from the people running the game.''

I believe there should be a "No Tolerence Policy" for violence against Match officials. no matter what action was taken on the field, or how girly the punch was.

Agree that winging on a forum gets scant attention, however, the FFA will listen only if forced to do so & the only thing in my opinion that will open their ears is media pressure forcing them to move into the 21st century & the high standards demanded of modern professional sport in this country.
It needs to be said, there is more than a hint of a stubborn clinging to old world ways of "doing things", more at home in countries that still accept political corruption & organised crime as a part of life.
Where football clubs, referees & players can be jailed, fined or relegated for dealings with organised crime & criminal behaviour. Where agents & officials have the reputation of snakes & are trusted as much.
In a nutshell, football in Australia has had to be dragged all the way, kicking & screaming, stubbornly refusing to let go of the old self serving ways. I have no doubt it will take publicity & more than likely bad publicity to remove the wax from their ears. Even then any change would be made with great reluctance.
Many of you have a dislike for SBS, & thats your choice, (I do not) however, they can be the biggest mover & shaker when push comes to shove. I have emailed TWG regarding my opinion of the FFA's inaction of late & I hope they also have a bee in their bonnet.
I'm hoping it won't require football to continue to be the deserved laughing stock of sport to force it's fans to wake up & demand it's officials pull their heads out of their arses.
